Buffy is right to feel guilty then that Spike is 'gone' and he has William 'left'. Normally drinking doesn't help - but maybe this time Buffy will tell him the truth (you know the thing about children and drunken ones telling the truth).

Ha! Drunken Buffy came home! Drinking was Buffy's plan on fixing her problems....I seem to think that is more like running away from her problems lol. Go Buffy.

Poor Spike, having to give up what he loves for Buffy. And she made him choose because of something Angel said. That is just stupid. He would have most likely change to the person he is today anyways. Having a family usually does change a person. But that doesn't mean that you have to stop going after your other dreams.

Had to stay up late for an EVIL last class on the first da of my Spring Break...but was fortunately rewarded with a new update from you! Yay!

ARGH! I feel for Buffy. There truly is a distinction between the William she's married to and the Spike of her memories. I remember a line from a romance novel that reformed rakes make the most lovingly loyal husbands. But for poor Buffy they sometimes make the most rational (translation: conventional).

I have complete and utter confidence that tame William will be teased back into the lustful Spike that we all know and love. Spike never dies!

I've been following this story for a while, but usually read it on my phone, rather than on a computer. Wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your story.

This is a great way to see how happily-ever after works out. Sexy!Spike dream definitely makes Buffy and your readers hot. It doesn't matter that Buffy is sleeping next to William--inside he's still ALL Spike.

The story is ratcheting-up nicely. Can't wait for the kids to go to sleep-away camp and for Buffy to really use those thick, insulated walls for its intended purpose. Anya is always a great character to use to get Buffy to unbend a bit.
