I really like your story and from the conversation I like Dru too :). From my point of view nothing in this story is too fast or too slow. I really don't like to read too much of Buffys abuse.
So continue with your pace and I will read all you write :).

I'm glad that Buffy was able to get away; when Angel got her again I feared the worst. It takes courage to run without everything with you (I think). Sounds too as if she came to the right place to (for) help. (Like Spike not simply making the tattoo just because he was asked to do so.)

Great way to introduce Spike and the contrast to who Buffy is now with the blond, princess Amber. I also like Spike and Oz working together, though Xander being Willow's husband threw me. and if it was Angel coming into the shop just then I hope Spike gets at least one good punch in! I'm sure he'll be an a--hole!

Not much to say yet because it is short indeed but it seems whatever Buffy went through at this point she is better now. Good to know when it gets 'darker' again.
Looking forward how Buffy meant this, being 'reborn'.
And in case I wasn't clear: I like the start. :)
