Poor Buffy! I wanted her to dump Riley but to betrayed by her roommate is so awful! I hope she kicks both their asses. They totally deserve it. Loving the story still and I can't wait to read the next update!

Riley, the all-American, normal, reliable guy-- falls back on the normal, reliable, and totally idiotic excuse "(Girlfriend's name), I can explain." Love it!

I liked your glimpse into Spike's character with him wanting to take care of his dad, but independent enough for his promiscuous lifestyle, but still interested in caring about others and maybe finding a girl and seeing how things can move further... layers!

Great chapter, and I look forward to seeing it updated. I know some people who are more patient than I wait for a story to be finished before they begin reading it so they don't have to keep waiting to see what comes next, but I don't have the patience. So I'll be eagerly looking forward to the next and the next and so forth!

Can't wait for Buffy and Spike to meet up, but I'm sure the confrontation with Riley will be fun, too. Go Buffy girl power! Will there be a glimpse of the Slayer! lol

Buffy seems very mature and I liked how you subtly reminded readers who hadn't looked at this story during the hiatus between updates what he personality is like. How Buffy slipped Riley into her excuses not to leave the U.S. not as an afterthought, but more like he wasn't the main priority, was done very well.

I was surprised by this glimpse into Spike's life, though he seems less like a 'Spike' here, being polite and quiet and easily understanding about Cicely. Will we see him be cocky with Buffy later? I can't wait to see how he'd react to her, and she to him! But I know that's probably a ways away, so I'll wait patiently. And what are those scheming grandmothers up to? lol

I'm so glad this updated, I think this is a very unique outlook on Buffy and Spike and I can't wait to see where you take it!

Seems Spike's problem (or what he thought to be a problem got solved by itself.
As for Buffy... I have a feeling that she will find something out about Riley when she goes back unannounced that will maker her decision what to do easier.

Sweet (and a bit funny) when Joyce was watching out for Hank's health. (Funny was only his reaction, it's sweet and thoughtful of Joyce.)
Spike seems to be lonesome even with the friends (+lovers) he has.

Read chapters 1-7 straight through on my phone and am cheating with only one review...

I'm enchanted by this story. You're giving us a sweet Cinderella tale with (hopefully) the promise of snark. I really enjoyed the 18-year old William coming to 13-year-old Puffy Buffy's rescue. Even though it wasn't attraction or love (on his part, anyway), there was enough of something to get your Dru to drop hints about making Spike forget about "sunshine."

I can't wait for the Buffy we all know and love to get her revenge on London society with her self-confidence and American sensibilities. I'm hoping for snarkiness in Buffy and Spike's reintroduction to one another because the course of true love was never smooth.

It seems that the princess will have to rescue the prince from his prison of dellusionment and bitterness. I'm looking forward to more from your story. My inner 12-year-old can't wait for the happily ever after!

I don't know why I didn't notice this story earlier but I really like it! And I love Spike at 18--he is a nice combination of Spike and William! I always like that combo when it is done well as it is here. Looking forward to reading more!

Forgot to add: If the xx/other isn't too much I don't mind that the story will take some time to get rolling (because I don't like the xx/other a lot).

At last one person is kind to Buffy; she really could be glad if she wouldn't have to see the others again.
