I really liked this. I have read The Host and I loved your twist on it. I have a feeling that the other man will be Angel, but I'm probably wrong. Anyway, keep writing, I can't wait to see what happens.

Still like it; I like the flow of it, telling the presence and the past. You still have me curious what's the what with Buffy. She is for sure different.

I'm still drawn in and curious and loving this story. Makes me wonder about the series a bit. Did Buffy and Spike get thrown together just because they were the misfits, just because they were all the other had? Maybe at first, and then they discover there's something else, deeper feelings. In ways this is very true to the story line while still being very different.

Nope, haven't read the Host yet. Maybe as paperback later. Hope this story won't be too similar or I don't have to read the book. ;)
Spike's (I assume it was him) reaction to Buffy's 'unmarred column of her throat' was weird. He was really surprised. Ah because he was human too.

BTW I wonder how all the vampires survive when there are no humans left? Don't they need blood?

I loved 'The Host' so much. And your beginning is just great. I can't wait for the next chapter. It's definitely interesting to read the Host Vampire Style :D
