Sadly it still ends with the break-up.

it just ends like that? if buffy was falling for him, then it makes no sense for her to just dump him. things were different than they were on the show, and she still cares about what her friends think, obviously she really didn't listen to sam. well, i didn't care much for the ending, but at least it's easier to read now.
