Author's Response: Yea Dalton is a good guy is very dedicated to his mistress and good thing too. I'm not sure how well Buffy would have made it if she was alone after having been with Spike for so long.

So it was Riley, Darla'a new toy; I wondered.
Angelus was never good with thinking that raising hell on earth could kill the human = no food.

Author's Response: I know! Darla seemed to think it was an ok idea as well but was at least nervous about food. Angelus just was focused on doing something no one else had done. Silly vamp. Just wait until he starves!

It's hard to see one's own errors - I mostly catch mine later or when I see something printed out.
Willow and Xander took the news well; sounds as if they will supportive.

if buffy just stayed, she would have seen what spike really did with dru. now, 2 months was wasted for nothing :(

Author's Response: I'm sorry! Originally I had hoped to have the sequel done by the time I finished posting this. That was my original plan but I got into other story plots and I put this on the back burner trying to decide which plot to focus on. But it will be worked on within the next few weeks! Glad you enjoyed it.

This is a gem of a story, I am really enjoying each and every chapter. The story so far, has really cemented the relationship between Buffy and Spike. I like the fact that the remaining minions of Spike are accepting of the unusual relationship. A functional if not supernatural family at best over the hellmouth. Perhaps, more material is needed to where Buffy gets to know the minions after the glow of being "Mrs. Spike" wears off. So far, she has met Spike's human circle of friends while she is introducing him to her circle. I loved reading where the minions were worried over their master once his mate left the mansion. Dalton and the other minions would make for quite network of information where it would be needed to keep Buffy safe from the watchers council. Funny, how the real monsters are the ones who are driven by their own ambitions staunch arrogance that they are superior over the creatures they hunt via a young girl. Power corrupts, thankfully, Spike being "The Master" of the hellmouth does not have those problems. Any, I digress, really look forward to more chapters.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you are enjoying it. I kind of wish I had only half finished the story when reading this but I tend to only post finished fictions but your take on the story so far is really interesting. It's about to take a different turn but I really liked the idea of vampires being able to be working society members and not just to be all staked. So that part of the story will be still upheld just the enemies will change unfortunately. I hope you continue to enjoy it. I'm actually working on a sequel but I was finishing another one I was working on first that really was coming together quite nicely. So I had ideas for a sequel so perhaps I'll cover some more of these concepts in the sequel even! Thanks so much for the review!

Author's Response: Good point. I think they were just nervous Joyce would put her foot down banning them from seeing each other. That would have really made things hard for them. At least this way they are able to openly see each other.
