This is the first time I have encountered your story, and I think it is very heartfelt and thought-provoking. The fact that Spike witnessed one if her most horrible and humiliating moments in her life can only play more into this story. I fleetingly wondered at first why he didn't step in when he first saw what was happening, but seriously, how do you fight a crazily insane father with a knife?
Spike's feelings for her were apparent before he needed to rescue her, so I believe there is a chance for them to survive (hopefully!) But anything can happen at this point, can't it?


Author's Response: Well I definitely hope you will enjoy reading it. There's still a very bumpy road for them in the future, but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel, metaphorically anyway. :)
