Yeah, an update! And double yeah, it was the good kind of bomb going off kind of update. :) Can't deny the chemistry. Don't see that going well for them when/if they try. Sure do see Dawn and her party adventure cutting this after glow a bit short. But, boy, I hope she can see how good they can be together. And that Spike can stay strong when she inevitably flakes after this little revelation. Loved it. Always makes my day when I get more of this one! Thanks so much, and I look forward to more!

I’m not sure what disturbs me the most; the fact that Spike has that particular piercing or the fact that I’m so turned off by the fact that he has that particular piercing. Vampire Spike having one would be much more acceptable to me than human Spike having one.

Author's Response: Well... I knew that piercing wasn't for everyone. Personally I think it's hot (or it wouldn't be in my story), plus there's a story behind it. I do feel bad that I basically lied to someone who wanted me to assure them Spike wouldn't have a Prince Albert piercing. Well, he doesn't!! But yeah, I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea.

So damn excited to see more of this one. Was even thinking about it like last week... Power of positive thinking. Hope Buffy does something crazy and that Dawn doesn't. Or that if Dawn does, it pisses Buffy off only after she gets to take some emotional support from Spike. Need each other, they do. What a nice surprise.
Oh, Dawn.. can't help but feel she has left out a few details.. leaving both Buffy and Willow in the dark.
Buffy befuddles me..always fighting her feelings and settling for the lesser.. hopefully her night will end well ..with Spike.
I think I remember something from Dawn early in the story about a Prince and a writer maybe. A little too close for home for Spike with the poet dig.
Will be going back to reread.
Enjoyed.. written beautifully as usual.

enjoyed.. wonderfully long chapter..
Buffy and Spike.. always with the misunderstandings. He did open up a little more than she but still a negative there for her.
Waiting for that NC17.. and Buffy learning what Spike is about.. Might be wrong.
But I think Dawn's interpretation of Spike's Lord F might not be too far from the truth along with the possibility of a famous writer? Need to go back and reread..

Oh, please update this story! I absolutely love the Spuffy dynamic and progression (UST is delicious), as well as their individual characterisations. You've also got Dawn down pat, with her bouts of teenage rebellion and maturity.
