I love that image of him at the bar scribbling away, alone in his thoughts surrounded by a room full of people. It's nice to see them happy; they seem like two different people. The contrast from the cordial man and woman at the beginning of the story is so sad.

Author's Response: I loved writing them happy. It was a nice change. I don't see them as different people, more so as complimentary. They balance each other. I feel that's important in a relationship. One needs to push, when the other pulls. Ying and yang. (insert other examples here) Even with his "Spike" exterior, he's still William at heart.

Buffy did a lot of thinking the day after / after waking up. :)
These two manage to hurt one another too easily, though.
But it seems that it isn't as easy as Buffy thought it would be to leave William, thanks to her car, huh?

Author's Response: When you love someone, you are vunerable to be hurt by them. I think that's why some people don't open themselves up to it. No, it's not going to be as easy as she thinks.

Aaagh...Buffy is frustrating the hella outta me. She totally pushed all of Will's buttons so he'd get angry and she'd feel better about leaving and then gets pissed at him when he does exactly that. :( They have to communicate, it seems they just go around in circles and nothing gets said.

Now let's see what happens when Will gets out to the car. Hopefully they will start to talk honestly.

Oh, dear. My heart really goes out to them. Especially since I'm going through something similar. There's no hate involved, but we just don't know how to treat each other anymore. The dance has changed and we don't know the new steps. :(

Author's Response: IT, I would like to thank you for sharing something so personal. I understand completely. My hubby and I have been together for almost 20 years. Over the years we've changed. Some of these changes had complimented one another, others had not. Add to that RL: kids, work, bills...and, to the say the least, things had become complicated. There wasn't hate on our part either. We loved one another dearly, it was just that we both needed to accept we weren't the same people we were all those years ago. Eventually, we realized that was ok. Even though we are different, we can still love each other just as much as we had before. I love your analogy. In those few words, you've said so much!

I love how very bad they are at this. They want everything over just as badly as they seem to want it to go back to the way it was before. Maybe they will get their wish. She ain't gone yet! And they are both so very good at riling the other up. A true sign of a Spuffy couple. Love it. Update soon.

Those two definitely need an intervention! They have so much to say to each other and they're not saying anything. The are really like the wheels on Buffy's car the night before, spinning around going nowhere, getting more stuck. I hope to see them really talking soon. I'm also so curious as to what happened to destroy their relationship. I'm guessing a loss of a baby? Happy to see an update and can't wait for more!

Okay, now I'm really dying to know what happened in their relationship to separate them. It's obvious they still love each other. Their fighting is somewhat amusing. Their stubbornness and pride is something they both need to reign in to have a nice civilized discussion. Can't wait for more!
