Author's Response: thank you dear. hopefully others out there will read this and know that despite the fact that i haven't updated in a few days, i am not giving up on this story. i recently (friday) collapsed at a concert and was rushed to the hospital where they found an infection i had last week was wrongly diagnosed and spread to my kidneys. i was severely dehydrated and it was apparently a pretty serious thing. i've been doing nothing the past couple of days but laying down, sleeping, or watching buffy. i have about half of a chapter written but its hard to really get in to writing when your head wont stop spinning. hopefully within the next few days i will have the energy to finish it. thank you everyone for your patience and don't worry, i'm not going to die. -T

Loving the story Buffy's kind of young to be giving up on love, but Angel is a jerk. Such a sweet moment at the end of CH 2 love the text.

i like that she's not making it easy for him - not deliberately mean, just ... realistic for her life and her fears/insecurities. enjoyed the short philosophy info, too! and so very sweet of spike to send her a good luck message - she probably needed that little boost. looking forward to more!
