Sounds as if Spike has won Hank over - at last as long as he doesn't hurt Buffy.
Well going on tour won't be easy for them both but they managed the first crisis.

Great chapter! I'm glad Spike cleared up the whole Darla/Claire issue. Buffy's insecurity is going to be an issue, I can't blame her though, if women like Julie kept throwing themselves at my man, I'd be pissed.

Glad to hear about Spike's past. Can't wait to see what he has planned for Friday. Thanksgiving with the Summers, I think the only one who might not accept Spike would be Buffy's dad, but it can't be as hectic as the ep. 'pangs', right? Can't wait to find out.

I'm glad Spike is okay (and so are the others). Yeah, almost loosing something makes you think about things, help you decide like Buffy did.

Great chapter. So glad that everyone's all right.

A couple of comments:
1. Probably just a oversight, but you mention that he has no shirt on in the evening after the operation. In the morning, though, when Buffy climbs into bed with him, you describe how he feels her tears through the thin shirt he's wearing. Does Fred help him put one on?

2. You've got a typo here: "She had momentarily forgot all of the events...." Should be "She had momentarily forgotten...."

Author's Response: Thank you, this was actually pointed out to me by another reader. That's what I get for taking a day long break in the middle of the chapter lol. I'm also still sick so that's probably another reason for the mistakes. I'll fix this as soon as I can, hope it didn't ruin the chapter for you. I'll be on a trip until next thursday, then its back to constant updates. Sorry for the mistakes. :)

Baking the cake was fun - even if it was messy. And they made if even more messier *gg*
It will be sure better not to try to bake a cake soon LOL.
Ah sh*t... the birthday party started so well and now that - evil cliffhanger. The thieve didn't get the money but shooting Spike could be very bad.

I hope you feel better. I also always watch Buffy when I'm sick. I usually watch Killed by Death first, followed by eps like something blue, life serial, OMWF, tabula rasa, etc. Watching Buffy makes me feel better.
I loved the chapter, annoyed with the cliff hanger, and I can't wait to see how Spike is.
