i honestly don't know why anyone would stay with angel when spike has proven he's the much better choice. if the two of them are always on again, off again, it'll never work out. hopefully buffy won't take too long to come to her senses.

Yes, we all could use a Cordy to buy us a Spike. Maybe one days they'll mass produce them... Love the tiny bit of Spike snark he is using on our shy, slightly buzzed Buffy. And I love the story about Fred, and all the ways she knows Spike will never refuse her. Lovely start. Update soon!

I don't mind the Buffy/Angel at all. I know it will end in Spuffy deliciousness. And the whole auction thing was totally awesome. :D Poor Buffy getting embarassed by Cordy. lol I have to admit I'm usually the person that does such things to my friends. *g* But I'm sure Buffy will be eventually grateful!

Author's Response: LOL- I am not the person that does that-I'm the one that suffers the embarrassment. My best friend is the queen of embarrassing me. Once, when we were about eighteen and sitting in an IHOP, she gasped loudly and unexpectedly and proceeded to yell "He did what? To your...and you liked that?" I hadn't even been talking about a boy. She'd just gotten bored. Le sigh. Thanks!

Have I mentioned how I love that you are attacking all kinds of romantic comedy conventions and putting your own spin on them. I like the back story with Fred and Spike. Enjoyed.

Author's Response: Thanks! That is such a nice compliment. I do like the expected tropes of romantic comedies, but usually want a little more character development.
