Heh :) Even without memories they still manage to bicker around. ;)
And they are still very much attracted to one another, even without memories. But maybe it was even easier without them because they forgot about the "normal" world waiting outside.
Enjoyed the update.

You're actually very right. Not being aware of all the reasons they shouldn't be attracted to each other makes it easier to give in to the feelings that are already there.

Well, almost.. the attraction is there even without the memories and it would not have been the same..
So the locket had their memories trapped inside.. including the ones of her mother and the vampires
enjoyed.. now for Spike and the book?

Uh-oh. Buffy's not to happy with Spike right now. But I'm sure he'll find a way to make it up to her. Randy Johnson hehe. A few minutes with Buffy and he was certainly living up to that name! I'm loving the characterisations in this story, the build up of the relationship (not to mention the sexual tension lol) and the plot. It feels genuine and not rushed like in some stories. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Nope, she's definitely not with the happy. It was quite a misstep on Spike's part even though it really wasn't his fault. Shit happens, eh? ;) Hee... So damn much progress and now they don't even know who they really are!? I love it, and appearently Buffy has really sucky birthdays in this world, too. That really started as a horrible, no good, really bad day, and then at least Spike had the decency to be without a shirt. Love their little awkward dance, and her mixed signals. Can't imagine Spike's head not exploding from all that. And their amnesia, thinking that will be pretty interesting, too. Hope life enables you time to update soon. This story still rocks.

Author's Response: No worries, I don't plan on actually keeping them without memories for the rest of the story. ;) And I'll admit that there is a very particular reason why I wrote that scene, plot-wise. But that's all I'm saying. You minx, making me want to reveal plot! :D You're right on birthday suckage in the Buffyland. It was too good an opportunity to pass up. But hey, as you pointed out... shirtless Spike! I love it when you love something about the story. And I know it sometimes gets tedious, having to wait for an update, so I really appreciate you coming back to read and telling me you're still enjoying. Thank you!!! :)

loved that spike was all confused by what buffy meant by "do the thing" lol. i love the relationship you've given them, and i am patiently waiting for them to do that other "thing" hint hint ;) but seriously i really enjoy the pace of this fic, you're building the relationship nicely. and a twist! looking forward to the next chapter as always :)

Well thats a fine pickle they've got themselves into! Should be fun to see them interact like this. But what about Angelus ..dum dum dum. I giggled quite madly when Spike realised she didn't mean THAT thing she meant the other thing.

Oh, No... Majic and those consequences..
Anya with her big reveal.. poor Parker I think.
Buffy now has her hint that the world has its layers lets say..if she can only remember who she is .. And the dagger .. ?
Maybe Ellen's husband was something more than a "regular guy".. and might have the answer to Spike's Gem problem?
Giving a girl a dagger is kind of an odd gift for her birthday..and 18th at that.. Spike should be happy now.. But the gun seems to still be in the picture LOL

*snickers* @ when Buffy came home and caught her dad sneaking in.
Unexpected - didn't expect this to be in the parcel (gift).
So Spike needs to break the original spell - means Buffy will remember everything. That's a lot to take in for her if it will happen.

Another step closer, though he is much more aware of what is going on than she is. And thankfully both are more aware of what is going on than Hank is. :) Gotta have some levity somewhere. Though, now that he has what he has been searching for, I wonder quite what he'll do with it. He needs to fix things with the spell, and deal with Angelus and the harem, but what does he do about her? Very exited by more. Update soon!

Author's Response: Yup, Spike knows more than Buffy does at this point and that's mostly because she's not aware of the supernatural. But she'll find out eventually. Who knows? It might be sooner rather than later. ;) Haha... poor Hank would have a heart attack if he knew. As for Spike and the info in the book, you'll get to see what he does with it as well. But before he deals with Angelus he needs to help Buffy, doesn't he? Let's just hope it doesn't explode int heir faces. Thank you for the wonderful review!!! :)
