Loving this story. Very-well written. Love the relationship that's developing between the two and looking forward to see how the "her having dreams about his past" is going to play out.

I love it when people say it's well written. :) The dreams are starting to manifest physically, so it should be interesting to see how Buffy tries to figure out what the hell is going on. I love this! I am so curious as to what the big mystery behind all of these shared dreams are, but I love the simple smoulder they have going on every time there are within 10 feet of each other. I love them doing the age old age game. I remember the days when guys asked that question to make sure I was old enough. Though I really think with all the demons running around in their world, there are possibly more important issues than age. Namely the way the earth may combust if they actually came together. And I just cannot wait. Update soon!

Author's Response: There have been teeny tiny hints as to what could be behind their connection. Obviously, it has something to do with the forgetting spell, but the question is why have the dreams started recently? ;) They are definitely dancing around each other, wary but unable to resist the pull. And you're right, the age really isn't all that important, it's just something Spike uses as an excuse to keep his hands to himself. *g* Welll, we'll see just how long he can do that because we know he isn't very patient and tends to follow his blood rather than his brain. I do love coming back from holiday to discover there is a bunch of new chapters of a favourite fic, best thing to help chase away the post holiday blues. These fic keeps getting better! I've got so many questions; what's the creepy sex crazed witch's deal? What's the connection between Buffy and Spike? Are we gonna get the full origin story of Spike that bad ass demon hunter? And most importantly when is Spike finally gonna kiss Buffy (a moment totally worth a squeak of geeky joy)? I must say I'm loving the character interaction its a new twist on the spuffy story that remains faithfully to the original characters while maintaining originality. You even managing to bring in the themes of identity which is a cornerstone of the show (trust me this is my dissertation topic). I can't wait till the next chapter!

Glad I could help you out with the post-vacation blues! :) Hee... I like that you have questions. Let's see if I can answer anything... the witch is a bit loony and definitely lonely, but she does know more than she's telling Spike. The connection between Buffy and Spike has something to do with the forgetting spell, BUT the question is, why the dreams started before Spike came to Sunnydale. What triggered them? As for Spike's story... yes! The dreams Buffy has will reveal more and more of his life. Haha... when are they going to kiss? *g* Such a good question. I know, but I'm not spoiling the surprise. ;) Btw, I love you. And I love seeing your outlook on their characters within a very AU setting. I always strain to keep their core characterstics, so it's really good to know it reads that way! I'll be in my final year soon, God help me, but I chose a project (creating my own magazine) instead of a dissertation. I love your dissertation topic!! :D Thank you for the delicious review!!!

I love how their relationship is developing. It's slow but just at the right speed considering how very scarred these two people are. I'm scared for when Angel really enters the picture!

Uh-huh... poor William - this made him harder what he went through. No friends for him either, I guess.
Weird - Buffy's hair was wet almost as if she had been there with William. Good that we know that he didn't die (because they met now). They are too much linked through there dreams.
Spike loves to rile Buffy, huh? Fun to read.

Author's Response: It seems as if he's a magnet to bad luck, doesn't it? But perhaps he'll find an ally within the foster home. ;)
The dreams take on physical manifestation, so Buffy was and will be understandably wigged out. The good thing is she'll have to acknowledge something fishy is going on.

Oh yeah, the second she touches him, no matter how innocently, he's melting. Because we all know that under that tough guy exterior is one squishy heart. ;) He likes Buffy a lot and the more he'll get to know her, the stronger that feeling will get.
