So it's confirmed now - Spike is the boy Buffy dreamed about.
Some Spuffy action indeed :)
Shows how linked they are from Buffy's dream - but I'm not sure what Spike knows of Buffy (and what he wants). Besides the book. To protect her? Wonder who "her" is.
Enjoyed the update even if I'm late.
Author's Response: Yup, it's without a doubt now that Buffy has been dreaming Spike's memories.

Actually, the next chapter should show you Spike's POV, so it will clear some things out. :) And ooh, you're clever for wondering who 'her' is because I think most people assumed it was Buffy. It's not Buffy. ;)

Okay, hello again.
i should tell you that i am about to depart on a month long canoe trip and will be unable to read your updates, let alone review them, for that time. This sucks some seriously consequential balls but I promise to read them all when I return and leave a review that will be approximatively novel length.
Also, holy shit Spike is not a vamp. I think. He could still be, but this chapter indicates otherwise. Who knows? Not I. Anywhooo, I'm super excited to read more, I'm glad it's gonna be a long one and have a nice month!

So Spike/William has bought the home. And Buffy has had some sort of fainting spell after a confrontation with Spike? On a quest to save the world and find Angelus I assume. wondering if he will find his sister, too.. That will be heartbreak.
He has got to be curious about Buffy's drawings and their link. He doesn't seem to know who she is at this point.

Author's Response: Well, the house definitely belongs to him now, so Buffy's not going to ba a happy camper about it. Oh, it wasn't really a fainting spell as much as a panic attack. People who exprienced a tramatic event tend to have them. You're right about Spike trying to find Angelus, he's determined to make him pay. Not so much with the world saving though. ;)
He's confused but he will figure it out and you'll see things from his POV soon.

Intense scene where Buffy realizes that she somehow knows her supposed squatter. Spike is on a mission, sounds like he is out to right a wrong but it almost sounds like a suicide mission from his inner thoughts. Could it be that Buffy's mother and Spike's mission be intertwined? Only more chapters will tell! Look forward to more.
Author's Response: It was a shock to notice that Spike's hands are the exact ones she was drawing for some time. And Spike... well, he's ona mission indeed. He's not all that scared for his life even though his mission of vendetta is a dangerous one, so I guess you could say it is suicidal. Hee... you're right, only more chapters will tell. ;) Thank you for being lovely!!! :)

Captured the true nature of Angelus and his vile nature. The nightmare of experiencing the horror that William suffered through is enough to make her feel a different kind of pain than what her mother inflicted on her. Either way, her pain and William's mirror each other, betrayal and helplessness are never easy to live with much less overcome. Look forward to more.
Author's Response: Glad you think so! It's kinda creepy how easy it is to come up with what would Angelus at his most evil do. Indeed it is a different kind of pain, they have both been traumatised at an early age which is something they have in common. Love that you find parallels between those events. Or is he?! *g* Angelus didn't turn him, that's for sure. And Eline won't replace Dru as a character since Dru will make an appearance as well. Though perhaps in a different way that people might expect. I love your speculations! Hee... you'll have to wait and see indeed. ;) I promise more soon.
Hmm... a good question. I'm not entirely sure yet but it will be a longer one, about 30-40 chapters? That's just a rough estimate though. I hope you'll enjoy the next chapter as well and thank you for the delightful review!!! :D

Regarding the dream - how cruel to make a little boy choose between two options (kill the mother or the sister). Angelus is a cruel bastard.
Made the sister a vampire? Or only killed her. But that would have shown mercy.
Spike seems to be human though.
Author's Response: Haha, he came on top, didn't he? ;) Buffy will ahve to try harder to battle Spike's retorts.
It was a choice nobody could have made without being devastated by the result. That kind of mind playing is something I thought Angelus would definitely do. My version of him does more than kill fish. ;)
A very good question! Death is mercy and we all know Angelus is anything but merciful.

Need to go back and reread but I don't think "William".. is now a vampire .. but a vampire hunter and Buffy maybe a slayer of sort he is going to get to help him kill Angelus and unfortunately his sister?

Started reading this, got hooked on the first chapter. For as young as Buffy is, her life has been full of events and traumas to last two lifetimes. Cannot imagine knowing the pain of having someone who is supposed to love and protect you use you to further their vanity. Anne's vanity and her dreams of being forever young and pretty - it being stripped away from her seemed to have pushed her over the edge enough to take her vengeance out on Buffy and scar her face as a reminder of what she lost. Did Anne take her own life? Or did she pay for her crime to her daughter? All is slowly being unearthed in Buffy's dreams. Spike's appearance in her life is making things interesting. Look forward to more.

This one will be of the more angsty variety, as you've already noticed. Buffy was forced to grow up a bit early by the trauma she experienced. It was that much worse since it was her own mother who hurt her like that. And you're very right by saying that it was losing the the possibility to be immortal that had pushed Anne over the edge. And she took it out on Buffy. You'll find out what really happened soon. :) And Spike, well, he'll mix things up for sure. Nobody can get under Buffy's skin the way he does. Thank you for the lovely review!!! :)

Author's Response: Well, Anne was emotionally unstable and she just... cracked. She wanted to use and sacrifice her own daughter to attain eternal youth.
You caught that, did you? ;) Yes, Buffy is a Potential. I don't think I'll make her a slayer though, she's 17 already, which is too old to become a slayer.
Who was it indeed? ;) You'll find that out eventually.
