YEAH!!!!!!! MONA RULES!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy Mona came in alittle bit and tried to help. I knew she would somehow try to get into Buffy's head. Buffy NEEDS to now be honest with Spike,tell him about Travers and what they need to do with their relationship....MAKE IT STRONGER...Hell yes relationships are work as you said HARD work. but if you have the right person then it's well worth the blood,sweat and tears. Fantastic chapter...Keep them coming i am riveted.

Had to wipe the tears from my eyes before typing. This is tearing my heart out (which of course means YOU are doing an excellent job telling this tale). I also checked out the link RE: Goodnight Sweet Girl by GOTR - wow - heart-wreching as well. Thanks for the link. I had hoped that Buffy would of heard the song and realized just how tortured Spike was over their current situation, but as usual with these two, they are both being so noble in that they try to "do what's right" for the other and end up tearing each other furthur arpart (sad, but true that most love must suffer this kind of test at least once and with Spike and Buffy? They seem to do it very often so I'm thinking they are slow learners). I want more cause I really don't want to leave this whole in their hearts - make it all better eventually okay? Love this tale the good, the bad and heartache. It's all so wonderfully written. Thank you.

Wow...That song was perfect for what was going on in this story~!

Poor Buffy..I KNEW what Quentin was there to say to her. If everything was going great at the time..I truly think she would have laughed at him..but with their relationship like it is at present. Well..it just compounded everything that is already going on. I just hope that Buffy doesn't use this as an excuse to run away from the situation. That is a nasty habit that she does have. Running away. Fingers crossed! Great update ; )

I can't help but feel for Buffy in this chapter. It's a terrible feeling to think things are over and to top it off that her just being with him will ruin his chance at an album. I hope Mona can talk to Spike before Buffy does something stupid! Great chapter!

Mona offered up some sage advice, but Buffy was in a fog throughout the exchange. The song didn't seem negative to me, a little melancholy but not as bleak as Buffy took it. Now, with Travers' take on their relationship festering, too, is Buffy going to make a preemptive strike and break up with Spike? I hope she remebers her gut reaction to Travers' visit - going to Spike to talk it out...

ewwwwww quiten=evil bastard. There is enough tension to make things go haywire between Spike and Buffy. Ughhhh now him. I truly truly hope that Buffy does not jump to HUGE conclusions here and talks to Spike right away after her comverstation. She is really being selfish and yes using things as excuses. I think she needs to call Mona talk to her. Mona helped her before, maybe it's time she stepped in again. Gave Buffy a reality check so speak. Ah, our favorite annoying farm boy finally leaves the stage. Good rriddance.

I loved how you wrote Anya in this chapter. She's way up there on my favorite characters list (although Spike takes the coveted #1 spot, of course). Hee. It's nice seeing the mix of emotions Buffy and Spike go through throughout the scenes.

And, yeah, conflict and jealousy is good 'n all -- some masochist part of me keeps insisting that -- but WAAAAH.

Love the story so far. Glad to know it's not always rainbows & butterflies for our favorite couple (tho complete angst would suck too, truth be told).
