Like you said, this was a long fic. I haven't followed it since the beginning but it has been at least a year and so it make saying goodbye to this one a little hard. It truly is one of my all time favorites and I anticipate that I will probably reread (and maybe even rereread) it again at some point. Thank you. Now I am off to grieve ...until Monday when I get addicted to your new story.

It's definately been quite a journey. I remember reading this a long time ago then wondering where it went. I'm so happy that you stuck with this. It was completely worth the read, despite the sad times and the angst. And the epilogue was great, a little cliche, but it worked really, really well.

Hm. Oedipus Calling? ... So, is Spike gonna be like Oedipus and get it on with his mother, who will just happen to be Buffy? haha, WAY disturbing, but it's a funny thought.

First: *sigh* Sorry to see this one go. Only an epilogue left? This feels so soon (yeah I know, it is a long story, don't worry). Even if it was hard to read sometimes (the break up, the three years gap which seemed so long but time flies, I noticed again recently) I still was looking forward to a new chapter. I'll definitely will miss looking out for a new update. I would love to read more (sequel? ah well, I don't pressure). But maybe you can come back some time if your muse is pleased, for a one-shot like for Daylight). Well, I just have to look forward to another story I guess. But to the story:
Mmmm next step: Spike asked Buffy to move in with him. Very thoughtful indeed, he even thought of Dawn. She would be alone in the apartment with Buffy gone, in a way to big one.
Loved the chapter.. even if we don't get a big Eve showdown at last she'll be gone fr good :)

Nobody serves up a heaping plate of smut, followed by a second course of tenderness like you, Addie! I'm sad to see this one coming to an end too, but glad that it will free you up to work more on your other fics.

BTW, I'm not that disappointed there was no Eve showdown, I was just kinda curious what Lorne dug up on her! 'Course, I *am* the gossipy sort. :-)

I can't believe this one is finally going to be coming to a close. I have enjoyed the journey with this one. It has been a long bumpy road. You have done marvelously through it all. This chapter was as always fantastic and a great way of showing how Buffy and Spike are able to connect once again with each other in the only way those two can.

Almost over. Wow, kind of hard to imagine a week where I'm not looking forward to an update of this amazing story. That stupid double edged sword where you want to see what happens, but then you've got nothing more to look forward to. Why Christmas Eve is always better than Christmas. And it is too bad that we don't find out all the dirt on Eve, but if everyone who knew her chipped in all of the things they've said since the breakup, I'm sure it was devastating. Some things are better left to the imagination. So, I do look forward to the epilogue, I hope it's a lengthy one, and then I shall await your next masterpiece. (Cause the dark Buffy as vamp tale, love that, too!)

I strongly agree with your choice about letting Eve just disappear into the ether. She was so ten minutes ago as soon as Spike saw Buffy again. Lovely scene. Thanks for a wonderful tale.
