Ahhh. That end was just heartbreaking. I really thought with that fight they looked to be making a breakthrough. Then Joyce throws them out of the house? Ouch! Great chapter. Will always look forward to more.

This was a wild emotional roller coaster of a chapter. It was playful and catartic and hurtful in turns. joyce's behavior is over the top, but it rings true for the story and prompted Buffy's outburst. I am enjoying the relationship between Spike and Buffy, and the way he stands up for her is wonderful to read. I'm looking forward to their Christmas together, wherever it is.

Not sure I love the relationship between Buffy and Joyce but you really do know how to build a good fight. And hey, the Spuffy more than makes up for it. Great update.

Ack! Poor Buffy. But good for her for saying what needed to be said. It's probably just as well that they leave, and then Joyce can go back to seething and stewing until she sees sense. And in a way, her throwing Spike out only makes them have Joyce's ire in common.

Well I never experienced Joyce as such a total bitch, that's for sure. I'm pretty happy B&S will be leaving though. Can't be much fun to be Buffy with this Joyce as her Mom. Also like the way Spike is so there for Buffy. Keep them coming.

(Just reread the other chapter, now I know again why Buffy was mad at Spike.) Awe, they made up again :) Oh, but Joyce! Accusing her to sleep around because she takes the pill? She (Joyce) should be glad that she goes for sure and takes it! Oh my, this Joyce is really a bitch to Buffy. Oh she is an idiot. A chapter full of emotions! I feel almost sad for Joyce: this woman prefers stay in her own little world of anger and resentment, a world where she is the one and only to be right, than see people around her and make a step to her own daughter. Is she aware that, acting like this, she will be all alone? I wonder how she will react when she will learn that Rupert and Dawn know Spike and Buffy's relation and accept it. Reject them too? Can't wait to see ;)!

OMG Addie, I love this story . . . I cannot believe how unkind Joyce is in this story, and also how real. Out there are a lot of mothers than, when they don’t know how to “keep safe their children from evil” (well, lets name it as it is, when they lose the control over their children) they simply blame them for their suffering and don’t realize that what the children or adults do has nothing to do with their mothers and a lot to do with the path they choose for their life, even if their mothers don’t approve.

I really feel sorry for Joyce, se wants Buffy to be happy, but in her way, and that's the only way she wants it, so I’m pretty sure that this could be the final string, Buffy won’t want to know anything about Joyce and with very much reason. I hope they leave soon and that Giles makes Joyce understand what’s happening and what’s she’s loosing.

You let us all with our hearts pounding, so please, please, pretty please, gift us with next chapter soon.

Ohhhhhhh loved the beginning of the chapter. I liked how Buffy came to her senses a bit and just let things out. Spike letting his heart on his sleeve too was well done. Gods I hate Joyce. She is just making excused to make herself feel better. To try not to realize she threw her oldest to the wolves and hoped she would not come back. Ohhh I just want to kick her ass.
