I loved the Longer chapter, and that he could find in Buffy the respite he needed . Spike's heart needs special attention from their breakup, but it seems apparent that Buffy is up to the task. Of course it will take time and patience but it's looking good. Great and happy chapter for me and thanks

i most certainly did enjoy the read and can't wait until the next chapter, i'm thrilled they are somewhat back together and i know they will weather the upcoming storm ,i suspect is coming. Addie you keep writing and i'll keep reading, i haven't started "the poet and his muse "yet only because i would rather wait for more chapters, but my resistance is wearing out. thank you for writing Spuffy .

I missed the chapter yesterday and today I'm late reading. But it was worth waiting for :)
Eve yeah. She is playing the popularity card now.. like this is high school. I'm never going to let you win. Yeah that sounds as if Eve will be out for blood. Spike is a celebrity himself. I hope Buffy doesn't hear what she wants her to do, breaking up something Buffy and Spike doesn't have yet. Who's Lindsey (ah her ex I see). Eve sees this as a publicity stand? I wonder who gains more with their relationship, she, Eve, or Spike? The way she acts I don't think she really loves Spike for himself. Buffy did the right thing throwing her out. To call Spike now or not? Well I hope she'll call him and tells him. He is involved here too and needs to know. Oh good she calls. And when Buffy does it now there is no way Eve can't be with Spike again. (How much time does Eve need to drive home, so Spike? I forgot where they are living.) So Spike will have to believe her; but hopefully he will do it anyway. I really hope he knows he can trust her. She won't do anything she thinks that is bad for him; she thought back then she would do the right thing. And Buffy's call opened Spike's eyes. And indeed Eve showed her 'real face' means the told Spike what she thinks, confessed. She had no other chance. Good that what Eve wants is different from the stuff Spike wants. And Spike goes. Hopefully that is the breakup now. ~ I'm glad that Buffy knows now that she wants Spike back if she gets the chance. OH! Spike came in person now? I really like this kind of cliffhanger, the end of this one. Because I hope it is the begin of their way to going back together.. if Spike came to Buffy's house out of the right reasons. There was a lot of UST between them. I hope they'll choose the right way of getting together again, like talking about what they both want (means nothing what they'll regret later). But Eve? What will she do? Like she said the isn't giving up easily.

Wonderful action and dialogue in this chapter. Spike putting Eve in her place was dramatic and in character, as was Buffys agitation and self doubt. The wordless kiss left me speechless, too.
