Sod the groveling ! This part was beautiful and heart-melting !

Okay, ignore my previous review...or at least the first few lines of it. Had a blonde moment and confused it with another I reviewed yesterday. Never been disappointed with this story, just with Spike's perpetual "jerk" syndrome. Would still have liked to see Buffy slap him at least once before forgiving him.

Gotta say I love this story. One thing I wanted to let you in on though, wasn't sure if you knew... My mom got pregnant with my sister when she was on birth control pills... So yeah. Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter.

Thanks for the angst warning. I thought the story was pretty angsty already, but the promise of serious angst to come seriously made my day! Keep it up!

Wonderful chappie again Ashlee! I really liked Buffy's comment about it always being about sex, and Spike's answering response. It was a very nice gesture, him saying that they didn't have to do anything. And it was also sweet to plan the lit candles and rose petals, making it a very special night for her. However, I get the feeling that this is just the calm before the storm. And, I definitely think Spike jinxed them by his, "Who says it can't last?" I'm just tickled pink that I was part of the inspiration for Spike's use of 'foot-in-mouth disease' in his apology to Buffy. I'm loving this story Ashlee!

Hey Sweets, I loved it so much. I'm really liking this fic ,when i first read it i thought it was too much of "The Mr. William" Series but it was a great feel and atmoshpere of its own. I would love for you to adopt a story of mine at the adoption center at the message boards. Its called you're my temepation and i think you could really make it alive again. Its only like 3 chaps into it but i think you would do great with it. Also i can't wait for spike and buffy's angst again, just amkes it more exciting

Can someone please just slap Spike, and preferrably, let it be Buffy? As much as I usually dislike drawn out arguments between them, I think he may deserve to suffer after that comment.

oooh, the drama, the angst! loving this story, even the miscommunication and foot-in-mouth disease. the angst just makes me want more! i can't wait to see how Spike plans to fix this one. man, they just can't get their shit together, can they? maybe if they actually had a conversation that lasted longer than they could get their clothes off. ok, maybe that was harsh. they just need to decide what they are to each other. they're both so afraid of being rejected that they just keep pushing each other away and misconstruing completely innocent events. more please! :)

Excellent chapter , thrilling and exhilarating. Jealous and possessive Spike makes him say such ridiculous things.. Buffy is too sweet ! He deserves to wait a little for the make-up sex!

I want to slap him silly. For an adult, he sure can't control what comes out of his mouth. As for Buffy, she's acting about right for her age... more mature. At 17, if someone had said something like that to me, I'd have slapped them or kicked them where it counts. But I've always been a bitch. You are SO the queen of angst! Loved it!
