Mmm a prophecy gone wrong.. or not yet a prophecy, a plan, and all because the book got lost and the master demon became The Master. Interesting what such a small thing can cause. So the charm is the book that got mentioned in the first part of the chapter! Oh wow.. But: "Because once the Master rises, the two of you can fulfill the Demon Fire charm and kill him once and for all." What about the line: to rid the world of The Master and all the Aurelians, once and for all wouldn't that kill Spike too? Oh my! I wonder what will happen. Till next chapter :)

I'm confused. Does this mean William/Spike will also havde to die? If Buffy and William have sex, won't that bring the Master back more quickly? Is that the point, that they need to bring the Master back so they can kill him once and for all? Aside from the confusion, great chapter. Very intense and angst-filled.

Nice to see this fic back again and oh poor Buffy. Looks like she and William need to make with the hot sweaty monkey-sex in order to save the world from the Master's attempted resurrection huh? The things a slayer is required to do for her calling! LOL. More soon please.

Interesting twist! This is turning into a vey complicated plot; hoping that poor Buffy and the rest of the gang can figure out how to defeat the master.

The flashback was very interesting. I do wonder just how old the master is/was. I always thought the "turning into a bat" thing was sort of cool; and the only other time I remember if being used was Kakistos.

“He was a super vampire, head of the Clan of Orios,”-- hee! That line is just *so* Buffy! Loved Willow's inability to stop herself from correcting Buffy too. Very well characterized!

I also found Willow's thoughts on Dawn, and her clinginess post "The Gift" was an astute observation; and it would explain a lot of Dawn's season 6 issues.

Really enjoying this story!
