I think the problem is that this is too good. I want to review, really I do, but I am so caught up in the action that instead I just press the next chapter button. Sorry.

That was so beyond sweet. I like the fact that Dawn just blurts out who her father is. Just like a child should. And yes it does make sense.

My only quibble with this and it is a small one, cause I am more than happy with the rest and as I have said before I could only wish the show had been a little - okay a lot - more like this. Anyway, I just wish Xander were a teensy bit less dense. But then I have full confidence that you know what you are doing.
As far as posting goes just bring em out when you are ready - I can say that with another what 40 chapters to go. It's just like the Guiness advert. Good things come to those who wait.
And I think they should have another recommendation level: Loved extremely

This is by far, absolutely, without question my favorite fic. I'm loving what you're doing with the characters. Plus I just really love the way you write. This story has everything I could want. Please, please, please keep writing.

You write absolutely awesome stories! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for more of this one, and I don't have words to describe how enthralled I was with the first Origins. Are you still thinking this is the end of Origins or are you goinng to make a trilogy? Because, gotta say, the addition of Jenner and Lawson just twist things up nicely, and you could go on with it forever. Whatever you decide, I can't wait to read more.

Another vivid chapter. Some of my favorite moments were Spike happily caring for Connor and Wesley comforting Dawn in hert sleep. He is too old for her, but at least he realizes it. Maureen Osbourne continues to be a strong original character, a bridge between the normal and otherwoldly in the group's life.
The tension is mounting admirably. I hope your health is on the mend.

Oh, that was so beautiful! I'm crying as I type. I generally don't leave reviews to WIPs, but I'll make an exception for this one. Amazing characterizations, and love the use of Anya. She's one of my favourite characters and I always thought she was painfully underutilized. Bravo.

i am so happy that things came out from your head to the paper for awhile and i hope they continue to do so. Excellent chapter. Giving Wes a chance to see Dawn and express himself. Though the age difference is alot, maybe down the road things will work out. Spike cleaning Connor was so damn funny. OMG I can just picture Spike with a really stinky kid and it still ozing out. LMAO...brilliantly written and so damn true.
Willow thinks her lil spell will fix everything huh? well I am hoping as soon as she steps outside the hounds will be waiting patiently for her to become a nice hound playtoy muahhhhhhh. Dru is still going off on her tangents of dilerium. Oh King of Cups needs to come to the party. yeah to be the crasher maybe. You do capture her very well with her rantings and childish mannerisms. So now get Dawn home and in place. get to the magic box to get the troops organized and then the war could begin. WHOA...no wonder your brain is not wanitng to get that all on paper...you have alot to deal with. Shall wait patiently with the next chapter. Thanks for updating.

Another marvelous chapter!!
Tension is building up very nicely and I will keep hunting for your next release! There is always a thrill of excitement whenever I see that you've updated! I love this story! This is one of the best I've ever read and I may have read it about 3 to 4 times already (from the very beginning plus the bridge)
cheers

"He didn’t deserve the consideration. Or the free-pass he’d likely get once the soul was back in place."
Thank god someone thought it! For it to be Wes, all the more sweeter. Speaking in the canon of this story, I have even less forgiveness for Angel than I do Willow.
The scene with Wes was so touching. I loved how you narrated his inner battle over his growing feelings for Dawn as he walked to the hospital. I don't know how you do it, but you manage to take the most unconventional of pairings and not only have the reader accept it, but actually actively root for it. Tara and Oz. Giles and Anya. Wes and Dawn. You have forged a new scooby gang in this and I am wholly invested in each one together and separately.
Favs:
****
“Oh baby girl. . . . “
His arms circled round her, holding her much like Buffy was doing with Connor. Murmuring soft words into her dark hair, he let her cry, not once attempting to stem her tears. “Go ahead, jus’ cry it all out. ‘ve got you.” - These scenes always get me. Whether Spike is comforting Dawn or tying knots in her hair, I love the bond between Spike and Dawn.
****
“You are so beautiful, make me forget things, things I have to remember. You are still so young.” - Reading him struggle with his feelings knowing that while no one knows how old she really is, on the outside she is still a teenager breaks my heart and makes it swell at the same time.
****
It is funny how you mention the timeline. I have to keep reminding myself of it because it seems like we have come so far in such a short amount of time. Buffy has only been back a few months, yet each character has grown, changed, and evolved tremendously. It is what keeps me glued to my RSS feed watching for the update.
Get Well, Nia. Thank you for another update. I can't wait for the next one.
Cheers,
Nina

Welcome back! I'm sorry to hear that your health isn't where you'd like it to be. Makes me feel a little bad about begging and pleading for more. This really has to be one of my (if noy my ) favorite series. You do such wonders with these characters. Take care! Hopefully, you'll get that secretary you need and keep on ;a writin'. ;)

Always happy to see an update on Origins. I really enjoy this story. I will keep checking back until it is done. This was a good progression of the story.

Loved this chapter. I was really touched by the scene between Wesley and Dawn. I also really liked the part of Spike cleaning and bathing Connor.
You write so vividly that I can literally visualize the story. Keep up the great work. I don't care how long between chapters, I wait patiently.

I love the update, you just make my day, I can't wait for the nest chapter
Take care!

Wow, all this has happened in two days? It seems much longer...
Guess Wes isn't pining for Fred anymore. Yeah, there are a LOT of years between him and Dawn. Wouldn't matter once she's in her 20s, so much, but right now, it's definitely icky.
Willow...so clueless...ensouling Angel will remove immediate danger from his counterpart, but it doesn't take care of all the minions and such.
Silly Buffy...still jealous when Dru's mentioned. And yeah, there is someone who can decipher Dru's crypticism. Good thing he's on your side, Buff.
I know how you feel with trying to get head to translate to keyboard...seems to be going around lately.

Well you're welcome every time you have a new chapter. I just wait for the next one, don't worry. ~ Wesley has a special place for Dawn in his heart? Had to giggle about Connor and his diaper incident. :) ~ I think it's good that Angel didn't understand what Dru wanted to say; yet it did give him some ideas / a idea. ~ Awe, Dawn. Crying will help (I hope). ~ Loved reading the chapter even if I didn't comment every part of the chapter. Loved it!

Yay for the update, love this fic. I'm all torn up now by Willows scheming. I can't stand Angel, so making him accountable for Angelus's crimes is appealing. Still I could live with just a hunk of wood through his chest.

Great chapter. I hope you feel better, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter no matter how long it may take. So don't get too stressed. Thanks.

Thanks for the timeline! Very helpful when I'm reading a long story over the course of severa months.
Nice update. Really enjoying this story; the OCs help make this a fully developed world. And I love Oz's aunt Maureen!
Very curious to see what's going to happen when Willow tries her spell. You've set up most of the characters to specifically *not* forgive Angel-- so soul-boy might be nice twist. Anyway looking forward to finding out!
Anxious to see where your muse takes you from here!
