I think it was realistic that Buffy wasn't exactly ecstatic and in the mood for basking in the afterglow with him. She needs time to adjust.

Self-pity is not attractive. He deserved not to be trusted and treated with respect by the Scoobs. You get what you give. Team Buffy. Always.

It was good to see this story on my F-list yesterday. Didn't have time to read then, doing now.
The morning after.. good that Buffy doesn't have second thoughts. Wouldn't be easy for Spike to accept after they were so close.
But now Spike is withdrawing again. I'm not sure if Buffy knows at all that's because of her acting / her remark.
Looking forward to more :)

YAY!! :) I've only just read this story maybe last week on another site, and I was so disappointed to find it unfinished. What a treat to come here and see that you're still working on it.

Gah, dumb simple minded blind Buffy. She's still seeing black and white, still self-absobed enough to not notice or think about what that chip took away from him as a man. Poor Spike......no reason on earth why he'd want to go back to being regarded as dirt and second class. Double ouch for the sex seeming to not mean anything to her but lust.

Oh I agree with Buffy I don't even know how to pronounce that last name, so Spike is human guess that is one way to deal with the if will dust in the sun issues.
