I'm liking this frustrated, maturing Buffy. She knows what she wants, but can't really express it. The tantrums and foot stomping are in character for her age and racing hormones. The dynamic of her relationship with Spike has shifted, but neither one wants to lose the friendship. I can't wait to see how you're going to change that.

I missed a chapter! How'd that happen? Well anyway, both are very good. The declaration of "love" from Spike, and the things going back to "fine" between the two, very interesting. And I'm glad she finally pointed out to Spike that he was ignoring her with the patrolling and all. Maybe if she goes out and gets hurt he'll realize that he really screwed up. Anyhoo, great job, update soon!

Poor Spike. Teenage angst ... So true. He just needs to admit what he feels. Buffy practically said it all out there. He isn't Xander Clueless ... he just doesn't want to let himself admit it. I hope you update soon. Still love this story.

Oh my... man (Spike) can be so dumb... But I think he got the hidden meaning. I think he knows exactly what Buffy is feeling for him. And the guilt show he knows very clearly that he was the one running away. TNX for the update! Will switch to LJ for Broken :)

So what exactly is Spike doing with this Aubrey? In earlier chapters you made a point of describing how Aubrey looked a lot like Buffy. And here Spike is trying to extinguish his attraction to Buffy--don't tell me he and Aubrey are just out "patrolling" together all the time.

Dang it ... So close ... He said I love you, but neither one of them really realizes what he means. He doesn't want to say that he cares for her more than a certain amount for many reasons. Then she sees how he acts around her and doesn't take his love as really meaning it ... because he goes out of his way to make her believe that he doesn't mean it the way she wants it. Oy ... love this series. I hope you write more soon.
