This is great. I love how you're developing the Spuffy relationship, and I think you're doing a great job on working with painful subjects and making it seem realistic. I can see these scenes taking place.

I finally had a chance to catch up on my reviews tonight and gotta say this is the # 1 best written Spuffy fic I've ever come across. So many plot twists and turns so worth reading over and over.
I loved the fact Spike refused to lose and I think once Buffy thinks the whole Amy death scene over and thinks about who was not there during the Angel/Spike fight she will figure out the real killer is. So many great lines and small touches in this past chapter. And I find it interesting Buffy is now seeking or associating comfort with Spike and she turns to him and he takes the time to really try to make love to her/express his feeling towards her a bit without saying anything. I liked the part where he was making eye contact in a wat like almost asking permission. Very well written out scene.
Sorry I'm so late on my review my life is been kinda crazy lately. I hope you have the writing bug soon :D

Hi I really love this story it is really so well done every page out shines the other. Question though?
I have noticed her becoming more Spike like and Spike becoming more in touch with his emotions, Biffy isn't going to turn into a gng monster girl is she? Cause more and more she turns her true self off.

I keep thinking just once Buffy let your sweetness or goofy humor side show I hope she does not become so jaded shes not the best parts of Buffy anymore. The reason I liked S/B together the most was their humor and style together and you have written that so well here in this story this while thing is a pleasure to read and I thank you for sharing your work here you are a gifted writer > I'm a huge fan! If anyone killed Amy I place all my bets on Angel being behind it, even if it wasn’t by his hand – perhaps he sent Dru or some other crony. Spike told Angel he took Amy for the purpose of showing Rack who had the power. I think Angel saw this as an opportunity to provoke Rack into a war with Spike by having it look like Spike killed her. Angel may have even made plans to run and tell Rack himself so that he can ‘form an alliance’ w/ Rack to bring Spike down (kill him) and thus leaving Angel as the sole leader of the entire gang and rid himself of Spike once and for all (the fact that I think Angel suspects that Dru isn’t entirely ‘his’ b/c of Spike may be a factor as well). After all we still don’t know the real reason why Angel even let Spike into the gang, rather than kill him – I still think Dru had everything to do w/ influencing Angel on that decision.
I like that Buffy sought comfort, but I think this is only a miniscule step forward towards a relationship w/ Spike (I had to take a long cold shower after reading that scene, HOOOOOOTTTTTT). It reminds me of when she first slept w/ Spike on btvs – strictly a need, strictly for escape/comfort, that it had nothing to do w/ feelings for Spike whatsoever, and hey if I’m wrong that’s great really, REALLY great. They still have an incredibly long way to go, but at least she did go to him after the fight and it says something. The line “She had come to him. It hadn’t gone unnoticed”, wellllll I really like that line, A LOT.
What I can’t wait to see is - after Buffy knows the truth that Spike didn’t kill Amy – IF Buffy will willingly sleep with Spike again even if it’s only a sort of thank you for winning the fight. I’m sure it would mean the world to Spike. But on the flip side of the coin, take into account this one line, “He realized that as long as sex was involved, he would always lose”, well, it’d be interesting to see if in an effort to truly show Buffy how he feels, he with-holds or doesn’t initiate sex at all for some while.
I have to take a step back to ch 17… the line ”Sometimes I fool myself, but you’ll always be the same.” If any, what was the implied thought/intention behind that? Was she saying she liked to fool herself, was it some kind of (crumb) hope she spoke out loud by accident, or no meaning at all.
Lastly, I gave a huge squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee when I read this, “He was about to step away but he stopped. Lifting his half-unconscious form off the ground again, Spike added one last thing, “I wouldn’t want your whore if you begged me to take her.” I really hope Dru heard him say that, b$%^ch deserves to know she ain’t all that. And I hope Buffy heard it as well, it would help her believe his earlier statements that he and Dru were the past.

Yeah, the wicked bitch has been beaten, three cheers for the fallen Angel, LOL......I hope once the shock wears off Buffy will come to realize that Spike hadn't killed her......my question is who did.......who of Spike's people is working for Rack......unless Angel was throwing a smoke screen about the Amy for Buffy, but he'd done it in his head so I'm sure it's not him.......hmmmm you have me wondering and playing Dark Side clue......LOL.....
