Stumbled into this story today and could not walk away from it. Really well written and fills the space Buffy the Vampire Slayer left behind. For any fans who love Buffy or Spike this is the one fic you must read. To the author please followup with this I have grown to care about your Buffy and Spike.

I was really blown away with the content of this and the intensity to this storyline. It's been a while since I have had a story really grip me like this one did.
Please add morw I think this might be harder then waiting for a Tuesday in the Buffy days.

Maybe Harm helped Dru kill Amy?
Harm has fallen so low in the gang she would believe and follow along with and crazy plan Dru might have as a means of help.
Harm is not altogether too bright even though I really feel bad for her in this.

Been trying to get caught up on this tonight and no matter what goes on I'm still always hoping for a happy moment for these two. Angel becomes more and more of a sicko as this moves along I wish he's die on a job before he can her another girl in this. I'm cutious to see who off'd Amy cause I'm not sure it will be who I think it was. I jusy cant wait to see how Buffy tries to make Spike think she trusts him.

I like the switching back and forth from Spike dealing with Amy's body to Buffy cleaning Spike's (no doubt sexy) wounds. Very smart. Thanks for the update. Good luck with finals, etc.

“I honestly didn’t-” he saw the way she was inching around the room, and it looked like she was trying to get as close to the door as possible. Frowning, he asked in disbelief, “Are you- are you afraid of me?”

This was a cool use of word play here for he has given her every reason in the past to fear him and it shocked to really see for himself she would be. In reality her forgiveness or changing of her mind about him in anyway would take time to get there and I think it's a credit to your writing your doing it at a slower pace to any kind of redemption for him. Too often you see writers jump to Buffy just accepting him as her lover in the next chapter and with your storyline he slowly has to make progress and earn her even giving him the time of day. And that in itself makes me crave your updates just to see where you take them next.

Then this
“Of course not. I-” How could she still think he would hurt her? Considering he just spent every last bit of energy trying to keep her safe, it made him a little angry, to say the least, that she could honestly believe that. “You know I wouldn’t-”

I find it so guy like he would think his actions alone would show to her how he is feeling. I thought this was so completely well written for the "guy in a gang" mind set, hats off to you.

I keep hoping though at some point she will bend a little and we will see more of Buffy's humor now that she is handling herself more and becoming stronger and more sure of herself. I think it is a outstanding twist Spike is training her given the whole Angel/Spike thing and Angel now more then ever will be making a play to destroy Buffy to get to Spike. She will need all her wits and training and skills about her to escape him or defeat him with where this story will go.

I was kinda confused though at one part when Buffy helping Spike move Amy's body cause she's showing one thing with body language and saying another. Cause if this is her game plan it may back fire on her lol.

Can't wait to see what you do next once your finals are behind you. I know you were worried but it is a great chapter.

Author's Response: Yea, guy like is a good term, lol. Buffy was helping Spike in his flashback, and Spike was moving Amy's body. Buffy was a little unsure of herself at that point - battle of emotions between her newfound plan and her feelings of gratitude - but I think she knows what she wants to do by the end of the ch. I really dig how Spike has unmasked himself when he is alone with Buffy. You see he lets his emotions show only to her its like he wants her to understand him and see the real him even in their awkward moments together and conversations he tries to make her see him. Even Buffy reactions to him a lil lately she has a conflict with herself to keep him in view of being a killer. I think these two if they were to somehow talk and face all that has happened that was wrong with them from the start they as a team would be impossible to defeat. That is if* Spike can give her a reason to stay.........

Once again I'm sucked into this fic and loving every minute of it.

He so wants her. and in a way I want him to find a way to win her and prove himself to be the man he could be and once was. Redemption is never a easy road especially when a woman is involved.

Just got a email from bloodydoit you had made a update and was really excited cause I really love this story. Spike keeps seeking her out even when he realizes she thinks he killed Amy. I realize the boy has more then screwed up with Buffy but I still have hope for these two now that he sees how she must see him. I'm starting to wonder with Buffys past if she needs to be so unhappy or a victim cause that is all she is used to from her relationships with men? With her training with Spike and his skills at bettering Angelus and her coming into her own more as a person i hope she loses some of these Dawn like reactions. All in all Buffy is a survivor and you begin to see in tiny parts how she fights herself to keep Spike in the same box if just being a monster I think she is afraid to allow herself to see his current actions with her or to even consider his motivations behing them. For if she did she'd have to face her own emotions.

A friend of mine turned me on to this story and I really like it. Lately there seems to be a spin on Spike being more like Buffy and Buffy being more like Spike. You can see him trying to reach out to her on another level and her just wanting sex with no arrachment from him at all. I liked the section You know it’s not what you want cause I'm not even sure Buffy knows what she wants anymore, sex seems to become sort of the weapon of choice with her and she is so much more. I'm waiting to see how thisgame of hers plays out with Spike cause unless your made of stone it's near impossible to try to let another person get close to you without having any feelings towards them.
I really like reading your work it has so many plots and under currents to it can't wait to see more soon.
