Holland.. *sigh* How much we can trust Angel? So he really has the key but Holland doesn't want him to use it. I wonder if Angel will ever know what he did ('airborne')

Author's Response: Trust? Let's see...how far do you think *you* could throw Angel? About that far. Angel might not find out, but Joni will. *Evil laugh* Stay tuned.

That dumbass angel always screws up.
What i find so funny about the show is how they tried to portray angel as a champion when all they really did is show me that spike is the REAL champion and angel is just self -rightous pedifoul.

Author's Response: The double standard that M.E. had made me sick. Anya was a demon- and she made a choice to go back to the "life." But it's okay for Xander to marry her? Angel tortures Buffy and friends, but he gets a pass because he doesn't "remember" doing it when he gets his soul back. I seem to remember a scene from "Beneath You " that blows that notion to bits. Spike remembered everything he did when he got his soul back. Anyway, *Deep breath* you're preaching to the chior here.

Fantastic chapter! It figures this is all Angel's fault. It seems all his good intentions end badly. I hope he gets his just desserts. I loved the Homer/Spike interaction. With all the drama going on I really liked Buffy's sweet little flashback. Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thank you M.G. I loved writing the flashback, it was fun. I hope things are starting to make sense.

Oh god indeed... and Holland Manners thinks he's plastered over the crack in their plot, doesn't he?

But now you've brought other forces out to play, there's a chance balance and harmony might be restored. I'm torn though. On the one hand I'm delighted that there seems to be a path being created down which Spike, Buffy and Joni might find each other, but it's been created by an intervention by... I assume the PtB? So, on the other hand, I would have liked Spike to have worked things out for himself and used the forces instead of the feeling I get that he's being used by them... in fact, the eeriest thing about this fic is the feeling that none of them are anything other than puppets in a grande and dangerous dance of dark and light power... *shudders*

The whole thing is mesmerising though, pet. You have a truly complex mind. Well done.

Author's Response: Oh. the metaphors! Don't forget, "Homer" is a part of Spike, so he is using his own brain, he just hasn't realized it yet. In case you missed it, in this fic, the "PTB's" are pretty slow. I mean, their first Champion was Angel. How bright can they really be? Spike is the one with all the creativity here. So, who's really in charge? Take one guess. ;-)
