Another great chapter. I had hoped that Spike wouldn't get 'neutered' any anyway, BUT I am pleasantly surprised with how easily I got over it. Him drinking blood from the bag is ok, least it's human to some degree. Would have been nicer if he fed but not killed humans...lol. I am still loving this and I get the sense that Buffy will be gagging for him soon enough and 'she' will be chasing after him, and I am sooooo looking forward to that.

Oh yeah. Still here. Loving Spike's game. Can't wait for more.

At least Spike is having some fun playing the waiting game. It was nice of Buffy to stay in with him. :)

Glad to read that Spike is switching gears on dealing with Buffy and allow her to come to terms with their predicament. Hope his efforts pay off.

Loved this chapter! Great transition of the Spike of before to the greatness that will eventually come. Sure he's still evil, but you captured how he is always willing to change for her, no matter what universe.

Two excellent chapters really moving the story and relationship forward. The flashback was an excellent device to show Buffy's learned wariness. Spike's got a ways to go to earn her trust, but he seems willing and able. Seeing to Buffy's creature comforts is the easy part, but it was a good start.

Still with you, HELL YEAH!!!!!! Awesome inner dialoge with Spike. Sorting through what he really wanted. I am so glad that Buffy is calming down a bit. They have things to work out,but I think if they both stay calm they can do it. I loved the teasing in the end. totally brilliant. I bet she doesn't hold out too long.

That was a lovely chapter. Your Spike is quite different from canon Spike. He's reflective. Takes time to consider the effect he's had on her and then plans a way to convince her of the integrity of his intentions.

I can't recall, has he actually told her he loves her? This slowing down of things. Taking time to rest and luxuriate in a nice hotel is all well and good, but it would also be a good time to sit and try to have another conversation to air their intentions and concerns.

Starting with showing a little trust would go a long, long way.

No angst, no miles travelled, no sex and no violence. But more achieved between this light and dark couple by considerate treatment of each other as they spend the day in their room, than all the other combinations put together. The line between them is beginning to blur ......

I just love your stuff. This one's great - I enjoy inner turmoil and a good battle of wills much better than a fight scene any day.

May not be possible, but isn't that where their true charm lies. I love it. And the bit with the balcony, they were both too adorable and self deprecating for words. And Spike playing his little game with her. Well, that is also priceless. Really loved the chapter. Cannot wait for more!
