I really don't know what "life" Buffy wants back. She spent all her life looking for Spike because he killed her mother. Now that she has immortality, she has more time to look for her mother's killer.

They finally talked! That was amazing, so much real emotion. That terribly angsty moment where a couple has to stay together or go their separate ways, and those two having no real choice in the matter. And sharing a common fight, I bet Buffy will surprise Spike in her ass kicking ability. Not to mention how cool it is as Spike experiences guilt for the first time in a century. So completely in awe of this story. Please, update soon!

Good, I'm glad their getting back to the issue of Joyce. Closure will definitely go a long way to helping Buffy sort out her life. Good chapter!

I give serious kudos to Spike there. It's about time he let her have it. She has been such a pain sometimes. He handled himself very well and did not hold back with how he felt. I hope it sinnks in to some point with Buffy. Though most of the time it doesn't. But since you are the Angst Queen you will find a way to make it all flow together nicely. Excellent turning point in the chapter and nice segway into finding out who killed Joyce adventure. Can't wait to read more ...

Great chapter, and I very much enjoyed this chapter. I have to be honest- I had a flashback to childhood. My dad was a bit of a bar fighter and a drinker, and when Spike said, "Come on, I'm drunk and I just got into a bloody fight. You can't honestly expect to have a real conversation about any of this right now." I was really reminded of home... just take out the 'bloody' part. :-)

How much Spike has changed since Buffy has come into his life..She has become his conscience and his soul. He is learning what it is to really love someone...When Buffy asked him would he go back and do it again, and he said that he would have claimed her right off the bat and took her somewhere nice..Well..I just melted right there. He truly loves her.. I really hope that Buffy finding her Mother's murderer will help her heal and be able to move on with her life with Spike.. Thanks for the great update!

Great chapter in their coming to an agreement on moving on to a new path together. I can only hope that Buffy asks Spike to train her in fighting. That way she can unleash all that tension and anger into something constructive when they are shut in. (Though the motel may suffer). Loved it! Thanks for the update.

But he tells the truth and maybe that was the right thing to do. (Well he did before too. But maybe Buffy believes him now.) Maybe it was progress. Spike could only hope. Me?
