I haven't read this fic like forever.And it rings me out.You are quite a story teller for the agust.for the paine.I feel for Spike,yes he made a big mistake,but enough is enough.No one needs this kind of punishment.Its just too much.But I'm still with you.Why because you are a good writer and you have me hooked.But sometimes I feel why don't you just let them go there separate ways,it would be kinder then this.In real life you can take just so much.Some people live for the paine.Buffy dose,Spike dosen't.

But you've gotta follow up with a sad, remorseful Buffy soon-- I miss my Spuffy happiness. I can't help but image Spike's face at the end of "Crush" on BtVS-- Just being shut out of the life of someone whom you care very deeply about. Great chapter!

I'm happy that she finally let him tell her what happened. Also, that she got all that crap off her chest. Even though, she says otherwise, I hope they can go forward from here. Just a thought: wonder what she would have done if it were her that car and she was faced with the same decision? Curious to know the answer to that.

I'm going to shock myself here....I'm tired of Buffy's crap in this.
Oh, don't get me wrong, she does deserve to be pissed, but let's be pissed at the ones who deserve it.

What I love about you, Brat, is that you nail Fred and Angel so well. Fred was a whiny, simpering, clingy little fool in ATS (okay there, I said it all right) and frankly, she's why I quit watching that show in season 5.
That and that other accident waiting to happen, Harmony.
Anyway, I digress.
I love this story because it shows are selfish Angel and Fred really are and I like the truth to come out.
Spike is not entirely innocent in this, of course, but neither is Buffy example? Lindsey.

The truth is, everyone is pretty f'd up as far as their own motives go but hey we're all human, right?
Buffy will wake up and blame the right people, I know.
Spike is who he is...tough, loyal and supportive.
That's why we love him so!!!

Author's Response: She will blame the right people, yes.But I have to say, I think I would feel the same way she does right now. It's a knee jerk reaction to be flaming angry when you find out that someone kept something from you that you trusted. I feel for her, I really do. She's had to deal with a lot with her wayward husband and just when she starts to heal, another bomb drops on her. I can't imagine its easy to deal with the fact your husband never loved you no matter what you did. Plus, Spike knew Lindsey was his. He could have come forward and yet he never did.

god, i really hate her in this. she can be such a bitch. well, whether she likes it or not, they have a kid together and it would be best to give him a chance. he didn't really do anything wrong. it would have happened anyway and she should have just thanked him for making things easier. so what if he lied about it, like she never told a lie before. lindsey would be upset if she made spike leave. she needs to get the sense knocked into her and soon would be good.
