Okay, I'm probably PMSing right now, because that totally brought tears to my eyes. Poor Spike! It's just so frustrating because she did make him happy. It's only her who's not getting happiness from him. It's really sad to see them so broken. If I was him, I would just shut down. There is only so much rejection a person can take. I still don't see how they could ever get to a good place. Can we get a happy chapter of just Spike playing with Lindsay and nothing else? A little break from the angst would be a relief. A little light at the end of the tunnel would be great.

I personally think they need to go to counciling with each other and agree that not seeing each other at all is not the ulitmate resolution. They do need a break but not an extended one. They really need to talk to another person together (Lorne) so that they can try to be friends again and bring the trust back. If they don't talk to each other the issues will just fester in the background unresolved.

I also want you to know that besides all my heartache reading this story, I really do love it and you are an excellent writer even if you are evil.

Author's Response: Well, she did at one point find happiness with him. She did consider him to be her best friend and then later, he was her lover. But then the letter....yeah. It all went downhill, but it's not JUST Spike she's trying to deal with. It's ALL of it. That just broke the camel's back and now all this stuff is coming out....well, you'll see lol. Thank you!! :)

Yep, Spike took it exactly like I thought he would. But I think he was still mature about it, just hurt.

Do I think putting Lindsay in daycare is a good thing? I actually do. For the obvious reasons anyone would put a child in daycare, but also Spike has just confirmed that Lindsay is feeling the affects of the tension.

Unfortunately, I also think Lorne is right in the Spike and Buffy need some time apart. He loves her, she doesen't know if she loves him and she is way too raw from all these emotional wounds, which Angel put there, but Spike did rub a lil salt in, but the thing is she will never get past it with him around.

I can only imagine the woman you love tell you you should find someone else. He is hurting too...and he was right, she shouldn't say sorry unless she means it, and at this point, she is still willing to hurt him as much as she can, although she thinks she trying to make it better.

He should get a lawyer to put up some papars about Lindsay, guaranteeing his rights has her father. but that is just me.

Wonder how they will move on and maybe come back together. Although it seems grim.

Author's Response: She is trying now, however, to not hurt him anymore. Buffy realizes that it's gotta stop, the 'madness' so to speak has to end and so now, yes, she is trying to do right by her AND him. Thank you :)

god, this is so frustrating. i want them together already and now she's just making things worse. him finding someone else isn't going to make things better for either of them and i really don't wanna read about that. i don't think lorne helped at all. sorry, i need more spuffy. i don't think i can continue this anymore.

Author's Response: That's your decision! I can't apologize for not making this fluffy or unrealistic by having them fall into each others arms. If that's what you're looking for, then perhaps you shouldn't read any more.
