Ah Buffy... she tries so hard yet 'You'll never be friends'. They are more than that and she should slowly acknowledge it. Like telling him again how much it hurts to see him going on a date or asking him about. ~ Missed several chapters! Have to catch up now :)

The talk with Lorne was positive, and I like that he keeps driving the point home that every man isn't Angel. Buffy always waiting for the bad to happen keeps her from moving forward, and she needs that pointed out until she changes that mind set.

Asking about Spike's date was awkward and funny. She's right, she does "...suck hard at this." I am really liking Lindsey's role in the story, she's a bright spot amid all the drama.

Love that she's jealous but doesn't want to be, and I really admire her awareness (at least at the end of the chapter, when she was no longer focusing on her feelings) that it wasn't very fair to Spike. Looking foward to more-- Especially since the, "Let's be friends," routine rarely works out. Great update.

My heart really bleeds for her. I could totally see doing the same thing, and trying just too hard. But at least she's trying. And hey, they're not fighting, which is of the good. Excellent follow up to her therapy session.

Excellent chapter. Just wish she would realize that instead of telling herself these things in her head that she should be saying them out loud to him. Things would move forward so much more naturally. Hint, Buffy: maybe the rason it feels forced is because it's NOT what you should be doing. Oh, and it also wouldn't hurt for her to figure out already how much she loves Spike!!! Great chapter!
