Buffy really was afraid of getting hurt again. She barely survived Angel and the thought of finding another great love like that (especially with another vampire) must have been terrifying. I liked this story. I held my breath when he asked her if she still loved Angel and how she feels about him and when Buffy asked him why he loves her. They are both so vulnerable. Its good that Spike waited for her to deal with her relationship issues. He really does love her. You wrote them well.
