Well, Dawn certainly is up to something. Interesting chapter. A lot going on, though Anya and Xander trying to talk a bit is of the good. But I wonder about Willow and that demon. Must be more to it than that. And poor, poor Spike, a dead cat never makes a good gift. Can't wait to see what happens. Please, update soon.

Well, Willow seems up to no good. Maybe she's in on this cursing him thing, too. Well, I know you'll let us know when you're ready. And Giles and Buffy' and Spikes soul. "Buffy was beginning to chop her hand through the air emphatically, like decisive hand gestures were the key to convincing Giles. Spike was fairly sure they weren’t, but he admired her resolve." Love that bit there. I can practically imagine Spike's face as he thinks such things. Such an amazing chapter, very well setting up more things to come. Fabulous. Please, update soon.

Well, she loves him but doesn't believe he loved her... She's not the most observent is she. Oh well, he just about told her about the soul, how long I wonder til she figures it out. And Anya knows about Olivia, and Giles still doesn't know what's going on. That will be an interesting reveal. Marvelous chapter. Please, update soon!

God that was an intense chapter. I loved it. By just reading it, all of their emotions became tangible. These very real things that exist not just because you know that they are there, but because you can actually feel them. Seriously, this was an amazing chapter. Can't wait for more.

Awww, Buffy and Spike had a regular, good night, and Buffy told Dawn out loud that loves Spike, and Spike should feel pretty content - he got the whole cake.

And Dawn - talk things out, scream, even, but don't keep harboring it inside...Just tell Spike that you're mad and hurt that he left without saying anything to you. And she's infinitely more upset about that then what happened with Buffy in the bathroom.

I feel so bad for Anya! Giles is typically clueless, and she's going to be very hurt when she sees Olivia at Giles' new place. Both Xander and Spike have tried to warn him....poor anya.

Buffy and Spike, together again. I loved Clem at the beginning, his sensitive skin and wondering when our favorite blonds were going to date again. And Xanders pretty bad horrible-no-good night. Poor him, and still not telling Giles about his relationship with Anya. That's not gonna end well. Well, I hope in some kind of broken English I've been able to convey that I really loved this story, and this was another wonderful chapter. Looking forward to the next update!

And poor Xander...I had tears welling up. He can be a shmuck, but really...who ever taught him not to be? And he does try so hard to take care of the people he loves, even when he has no clue what the right thing is.

And seriously, Buffy...Clem? The only thing in danger from Clem is kittens. I was hoping Spike suspected Dawn, but I guess we're not there, yet.

I have always loved this story. Everything about it really, but this chapter just came out of nowhere. You get home for the day and want to relax and do something you enjoy. For me, it is reading stories like this. Where the author knows what they are talking about, and has put thought into what they are doing. They care about the characters that they write. The author knows what they would do and think because they know them so well. And they have such amazing ways of putting all of that into words. So today I come home, and check for an update for this story. Because that is what this story is to me. A wonderful little break from reality really. And you think you know what to expect. And then I find this chapter. I can't even say what it is that you did differently, but it is like the chapter just hit me upside the head. Like a concentrated happy feeling that I wasn't fully aware of before. I know I'm probably rambling. But I at least wanted to try and tell you how wonderful this chapter was and how much I love this story.

Now for the part where I tell you my favorite parts. ; ) Like when Buffy and Giles are talking, she knows that she can trust Spike because he has always been there for her, and has to remind herself that "not everything was about him." That and the fact that she doesn't even realize it. Then there was Anya and her talk with Xander. This Anya is awesome. Very blunt, and honest, and very perceptive. I used to feel sorry for Xander that she had moved on, but not anymore. She told Xander that she liked being treated with respect even though it was new, and all he thought was that he was done apologizing to her because she didn't understand. And the one thing that is certain in Buffy's life is that she will always be Buffy. He keeps saying that she is not anymore, but it is impossible for her to not be her. All she is doing is living her life for herself now instead of just trying to please her friends. Can't wait for more of this lovely fic. ; )

He does does he. Well that's good, I wonder if he's right, of if he's gonna share with her. Or if you're gonna share with us. Sure you are, in due time I'd imagine. Now I'm rambling.

I was so hoppeful that Dawn would forgive him. But I guess that it is not going to happen anytime soon. I liked the conversation between Willow and Spike. Great chapter. Loved it. Can't wait for more.

What an absolutely delightful chapter! I love your writing style-- the way you allude to things and don't "dumb" things down for the reader. I really enjoyed Anya's and Dawn's internal dialogue, but I think, "don’t lurch around like some great side of beef with two expressions and a martyr complex" is my absolutely favorite new Spike put-down for Angel-- I just about fell-over when I read that. And I like the way Spike was justifying his tears, and his emotions, rather than hating himself for it. I guess you'd get used to your reactions after 126+ years and have to make some kind of piece with it. At any rate, great update, and I'm looking foward to reading more!
