I like the insight we're getting on Aimée. Though her reasons for doing what she does are not very good ones at least we know what they are and can somewhat commiserate her.
So if the only thing keeping William from pursuing Elizabeth is that he thinks he doesn't have a chance with her, I wonder how fast we'll get to the Spuffy goodness once he realizes he actually does :)
Great chapter, can't wait for the next.

Author's Response: I'm glad you're liking that. I just couldn't get to shut up until I told her part of the story. I know the reasons are kind lame, but *shrugs* at least she feels vindicated now.
Yes, that's the only thing keeping him from pursuing at the moment. *lol* Just wait 2 or so chapters and you'll discovers just how fast. ;)
Thank you so much for reviewing!

Very interesting chapter :)! It seems that Aimée has reasons to be so jealous of Elizabeth, but are they good reasons? I mean, I don't like Joyce (brainwashing Joyce!) but maybe she sincerely thought of Aimée's well-being when she sent her to her aunt. It's obvious Aimée hates Galveston, and if it was the same when she was young, Joyce could have think Aimée would be happier far of this town, especially after the death of her father. But Joyce has already shown us a certain (complete ?) lack of psychology... After all, Aimée is maybe allright when she thinks Elizabeth was the favourite child in the family... Elizabeth who is not so innocent and shy that it seemed at the beginning ;)! Yes, the confrontation between the two sisters shows us that Elizabeth has some temperament! And William... It seems Elizabeth has already made her way to his heart. He feels like cheating on her by thinking of Aimée, so cute ;)! And he thinks that his travel will help him to forget Elizabeth and focus on Aimée? Honestly? Poor boy, the complete opposite is also possible. He thinks that he has none chances with Elizabeth, who will take her vows? I want to say him: Boy, you are exactly the one and only who can show her she would make a terrible mistake (convent sucks!)... It will be a long, a hard time til the next chapter ;)!

Author's Response: Oh, sweetie, I can't even begin to tell you how much I love your reviews. They make my day! :D Yes, she has reasons, in my opinion, not too good ones, but reasons nonetheless. Joyce, ah, Joyce is beyond clueless, she has no idea how to support her daughters, and loves to manipulate them. She's not as bad as Darla though. ... I loved writing that confrontation. ;) And I loved the idea of William being so smitten that he felt that he was cheating on her and not Aimée. *lol* And it won't be too long time, since I already posted it. ;)

Man...Aimee's view of their family situation was twisted even from an early age. It's true though...some people just have a jealous nature.

I am enjoying the pace of the story..but I am getting excited about the reaction that Aimee will have when she realizes that things are happening between William and Buffy. (whenever it does happen!) I LOVE that Spike is already feeling such a pull toward Buffy even after one short conversation! BTW..I feel sorry for Joyce. She is so clueless to the nature of her own child. That makes her easily manipulated.. Looking forward to your next update : D

Author's Response: *lol* Yes, Aimée is a very jealous girl and that'll show even more in further chapters.

I'm glad you're enjoying the pacing, and about that reaction, well, you can expect fireworks for that. She won't be happy, that's for sure. ;) I loved writing that Spike felt so taken with Buffy, it just felt more natural for me. And you'll get to see what she really thinks of him on the next chapter. Don't feel too sorry for Joyce, she's clueless in some things, but she's also manipulative on all Buffy things related. You'll see. Thank you for your comment!

Aimee's backstory was really interesting. It seems Joyce is most at fault for Aimee turning out the way she did. I don't feel to sorry for her though she freely choose to walk a dark path, so i'm really gonna enjoyed it when all her lies blow up in her face. Great confrontation between Elizabeth and Aimee. I love how Elizabeth can see right through Aimee's lies. Fantastic ending to the chapter, can't wait to find out what happens next!

Author's Response: Hee! Aimée's backstory was not intended to make you like her, she just wanted to let it be known that she had reasons (not too logical reasons, but reasons nonetheless) for doing what she is or will be doing. ;) Hopefully will have more soon. Thank you so much!

Reviewed this over at BSC earlier this afternoon. Great update. Glad to see William has Elizabeth on his mind. Glad she saw him at Aimee's door again. Looking forward to the next meeting between William and Elizabeth. Will she go back to the nunnery? Wait til William finds out Aimee is engaged to Angel. Oh, the possibilities. Love this story.

Author's Response: Yes, I answered you there, too. Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked that, hope you'll like what will happen next, too. ;) Yeah, tons of possibilities. *bg* Thanks again, *hugs* Mari
