So happy to read again your story :)! And with the hints you let in your last answer, it's an euphemism to say I have the head full of questions :)! I just love it!

So strange, when you have your own story decided to live its own path, doesn't it? And the characters decided to have their own lives... Magic of the writing ;).

This chapter reminds me the previous chapters where we saw Buffy and Spike discovering and claming their love for each other. An interesting interlude where Maria seems to resume, explain all the expectations, questions we could have. And in a way, it looks like a plan of batlle.

What will happen when Darla and Joyce will see the new administrator of Campo Real? How will Mummy dearest react, learning that her daughter wants to marry a former pirate, illegitimate son of her former brother-in-law Rodrigo and the so-much despised Anna?

I just love Maria's reaction when she sees the two lovers in the garden "with any luck the love that Elizabeth and William felt for one another and which was obvious to anyone that might see them together, would be strong enough to overcome all the obstacles that would come before them".

To be too optimistic can be not very wise, not very careful, but let's agree with Maria :)!

Yep, it's strange and magical, but so fulfilling, especially when one receives wonderful reviews such as yours.

It's supposed to be precisely that, kind of a reminder to what has happened before, a plan of battle as you very well call it.

Yep, María is optimistic up to a certain extent, she knows that things won't be easy, especially is Spike confirms her suspicions.

María is such a great character, she's so resourceful and formidable. I really like this new twist that she was in love with Spike's father. I look forward to her upcoming talk with Spike, and I can't wait for Spike to make this presence known. Wonderful update!

Oh, so glad you're back. And that you're feeling better. Was surprised who Maria was in love with. So glad she is on our couples side. I enjoyed reading María's musings throughout the chapter. I like how she knew about everything that's been going on around her, yet she kept it all to herself. I guess Aimée didn't do such a great job of keeping her secret hidden... lol. And wow! The twist that María was in love with don Rodrigo was so interesting. Loved her reaction to finding Buffy and William together. Can't wait for Spike to meet the welcoming committee. Fantastic update! :D

Seems I came back just in time huh? Just when your muse came back :) How cute are they, by the way? I really am afraid with the foreshadowing how things are going to end up coming to pass with William and Angel and Darla and well, everyone. It seems the fates are conspiring against our favorite couple - hopefully Buffy's faith in him is stronger, and her faith in herself to keep him.

Author's Response: Yep, it seems you did. :D About the foreshadowing, I'll just say that things are about to get very interesting for everyone involved (I hope at least). I think Buffy's faith in Spike is stronger than his faith in well, anything, and that can create some troubles for them. Thanks for your comment!
