Like the story so far. Some parts seem a bit rushed but your style of writing is good and has an easy flow.
Just one little thing that got to me: I used to swim in championships and swimming for more than 5 strokes without breathing was a reason for disqualification - not to mention that I don't know anyone who could see what was going on in the other rows during a competition... So, yeah, had me looking through rulebooks for about an hour and I still don't know if that is an old rule or if it's still valid. It bugs me.
But thanks to you I am thinking about re-joining a swimming club, if there is one that'll have lil'old pregnant me... maybe as a trainer - I'd definitely learn all about the current rules then ^_^
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. As for your concerns, I swam competitively at a state level through high school. All of the description regarding swimming follows the rules I followed as a swimmer. If you were not aware, I am Australian, so maybe the rules differ for your country. Also, you can definitely 'see' the other swimmers in the lane next to you, if your tilt your vision while you are swimming.

Ohhh I loved this chapter!!! I cant wait for Buffy to tell Spike she is breaking up with Riley when they get back... I wonder how Riley will take it hmmm.... Oh and Im nervous about this dinner with her dad! If something happens and her dad is mean to her or something and she calls Spike and he comes and 'recues' her... that would be romantic ahah! Your story though! ahahha I loved it though, great chapter!

Phew! Buffy realized something and broke off with Riley. In her mind so far, not yet because he isn't there. Mmm quite a bit romantic, the spot Spike choose. And then the race; Buffy was good :-D ~ Awe, Spike that of giving Buffy his cell number. I love protective Spike. Well with a father like Hank? It's good he is.

i feared things could be awkward between them but it's nice to see them getting along. i like the blinding passion but from buffy and spike i do want something more! and with her distress over her meeeting with the "best father of the year" winner, she totally needs support... and spike's good at being there for her. and i'm happy she understood that he is better for her than riley... hope she explaint it to spike soon so he'll understand her behaviour (riley's nice enough in this fic... he doesn't deserve it and buffy knows it... she has learnt from experience how painful it could be)

Great update! I found myself holding my breath during the swimming event it was so descriptive. I hate Hank. Dinner with him does not bode well. Love Spike (as always). Can't wait for more!

Loved the race, it was so well written. You really caught the excitment of the event..I love the fact that Buffy cleaned house, and recieved all those ribbons...she needed something to help her with confidence.
BTW...I really am enjoying the transformation of Spike. He seemed to be a insensitive jerk at first, but now he is Mr. Super protector.. Looking forward to the next chapter!.
