If I were Sam, I probably would have laughed, too. Spike has been a fair weather father for years, Sam knows how much real parenting he's done over the course of ten years. I hope Spike is able to convince her to give the new schedule a try without having a huge fight. It's easy to say you're going to change, but Spike's already exhausted by the process...I hope for Alicia's sake that Spike's in it for the laung haul.

Now the real Sam is about to show her stuff....but then again she has been single parent for longer then their daughter has been alive, so I'd be suspicious too, and then wonder if this was his ploy to smooth one over on Buffy.......alot has happened since they divorced and she practically became a singer parent that he will have to prove his true intent to be a part time father and no longer the playmate parent. Sam has a daughter to protect if Spike would prove to be not in this 100 percent, so Spike the spotlight is on you buddy......but should've made sure Alicia wasn't in hearing distance of that question and mommy's reaction. I hope Sam was careful to make sure their daughter was out of hearing distance. ......which I'm sure when Ali finds out she too might be wondering if the pod people have taken over her father's body, LOL.........MORE please, like yesterday, LOL Great chapter

Perhaps it's just me, but I don't think that Sam's reaction makes her bitchy. She might be a difficult person, too (who is not a difficult person at times?), but come to think of it, her reaction was logical. If you have an ex-husband who always thought that his parental duties only include going to the fair or the zoo on weekends once in a while and now shows up on your doorstep teling you he wants to spend more time with his child... My reaction would be similar to Sam's.
May it be regarding his relationship to Alicia or Buffy, he needs to proof that he's changed over a longer period of time. Now the shock is still fresh. But what will be in four months, when it has worn off? And I'm sure there will be temptation...

I like how much thought Spike put into his plan. It seems to starting off just like Spike thought it would. I'm really looking forward to Spike and Sam's talk. Good update.

OMG... Sam is really bitchy, isn't she? Before this I thought she was a bit ok of a person, but now... *shakes head* I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but enough. She's truly bitchy.
