OK, I have to say I usually avoid angst like the plauge because I like my spuffy happy BUT this is a good story and no where near as angsty as some fics are! I think you are portraying Buffy as HUMAN which is good. I trust in the spuffiness and that all will end well or at least semi-well.
Look people, not everything is happy especially in the realm of Buffy and Spike as we all know. They are going to have to go through things together or else, why would we read?

Okay, I just need to say that this is *Suzee's* story and she can do whatever she wants with it. If someone finds it "too dark", then they need to simply STOP reading it.
It is not necessary to basically flame the author. If you can't appreciate a well written story with an original plot and HUMAN characters, then stop reading.
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as bitchy, but I can not stand to see a well-written story needlessly attacked. If this isn't your kind of story, fine. But all of us here love Spuffy - there is no need for hateful reviews.
As far as this chapter goes, I loved it. Buffy is so very screwed up, but the fact that she felt bad about doing that to Spike shows that she is not too far gone yet. He can still save her. I feel for him, of course, and I can't wait to see how they react to one another now. I hope that you haven't become discouraged about this fic because I absolutely love it.

First off, let me tell you how hard it is for me to read this story, but then let me say I'm sticking with it.

It's hard for BTVS fans to see Buffy as a screwed up mess of a bitch, of course, frankly she was my hero(ine!)

However, something is terribly off here; I just hope that Spike can see through it and help her.
I hope he doesn't go off and do something stupid over this. You know how impulsive the lad is!

first off i'd like to say that you're doing a great job on this story and you shouldn't let what other people say get to you. yes , buffy may be acting like a bitch but she is suposed to be. i did not get to read the authors not but from what i can gather she is that has a low self opinion and is trying to keep herself from getting hurt. this may or may not be how you intended it but it was how i perseved it. the fact that there are people seeing buffy in different ways just makes the story that much better.
i also think that by having buffy act like she is adds realism to the story. when people are so gaurded they are obviously not going to set themsalfs uf for the possibility of fetting hurt.
anyway KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. can't wait to see whats next.

Hmm don't have a problem with the way Buffy is acting, she always seemed to be fucked up on the show so no real stretch there and most spuffy stories that are AU have her with a sordid past that usually makes her act in strange ways.

I like the story and can't wait for the next chapter.
