That´s just so sad... She´s been inside him, and he has felt her, still both can´t tell who is who. And if Spike thinks Buffy´s slayer persona is just the shackled part of the slayer demon who abused and raped him, they will never get past this. How sad...

Oh the heartbreak in that desoto! AFter all that's happened to the both of them, I hope they find that together they can face it, separately, they will just hurt and ache. Love how the "wankers" ended up. Travers dead (yippee! - let's through a party for that one!). Surprised "Ripper" let the other one go, but if he's not made of good stock, he'll perish in the dessert. Joyce is such a good "mum" to Spike right now, just what he needs at the moment, or at least until he and Buffy can heal together. And Dawn was all with the good-sister there too! Great update! Unbelieveable! Spike is supposed to be a "Master vampire" and here he is crying on Joyce's shoulder! I'm sure he went through worse things with Dru and Angeleus! All Buffy did was what her watcher told her. He should have looked more closely into the ritual and what Willow was doing. I haven't seen Joyce comforting Buffy for all she went through. Thank goodness Dawn can see what Joyce is blind to!

Spike is an "EVIL sentient being" - in Season 4 he is evil and still wants to kill Buffy. That is also how the beginning of this story portrayed his character, therefore I understand and support Buffy's actions. What I do not support is the stupidity of Giles in this story and the fact that all of this is really HIS fault (and Anya's for suggesting the sexual aspect of this ritual), not Buffy's. They both encouraged her. So this just isn't Buffy's fault. Sorry. She's in pain. Spike went through a lot, but so did Buffy. I can't wait for the pussy to snap out of it and realize that fault lies with the others (I'm angry with Spike right now, but to be fair, I know reguardless of whether or not he realizes Buffy is not at fault, he still equates her physical being with his torture...it will take a while...but he should really be livid with Giles and Anya). Buffy needs him too and I just WISH that her freakin' mother and sister would realize this and tell Spike so. Sure, Buffy went through with this, but at the advisement of Giles who is there to guide, train, and support her.

So that is the reason.. after all what they were going through, now Spike has problems seeing Buffy as Buffy and not as his torturer? He didn't have before... not in that way. ~ Joyce is right; Willow's last spell cost a lot of pain. Even if the claim forward a lot of their feelings, Spike forgets that he needs to speak too. Buffy doesn't exactly know how he feels or how bad he feels. ~ Looking forward to the next chapter; hopefully it will get better soon.

Great update! I like that Joyce took Spike's side about Willow not doing any more magic, and I love the way Dawn is caring for Spike. Poor Buffy, though-- It's hard when you want to make something right *right now*, but have to wait and give things time.

I know it's been a very traumatic experience for Spike, but doesn't he realize that Buffy has also been through it as well. She had to sit back while her mate is tortured by her own body and she couldn't do anything about. Then she had to watch him drain the blood out of her. That has to be traumatic too. Just like Spike has to deal with some stuff so will Buffy.

I feel Spike's kinda acting like a jerk. I know he's been through a lot but so has Buffy. Poor girl. I hope she doesn't break down or shut people out as a result. Spike seems to have Dawn, who does Buffy have? Because the slayer demon had her body, everybody feels as if Buffy was the one actually doing it.

And then Willow. I hope she gets punished in some way. I always thought she meddled in magic too much in the wrong way. What exactly did she do to the spell? What went wrong? Update soon please!

I'm glad to see (I hoped for) that the chips doesn't longer function. But how will Buffy take it? Spike doesn't need the chip; he is bound to Buffy now and in a way she is his chip. Oh.. and there I thought that they couldn't trust Travers and it did indeed not taken long for him to try to kill Buffy. Thanks to Spike he couldn't.
I wonder why Spike is reacting the way he is; because he fears Buffy's reaction to the kill? A lot has happened to them both so far. Looking forward to understand better in the next part.
