Oh my gosh... poor Spike!!! I'm hating Travers so much right now, the man is truly a monster. I gotta hand it you, you really have a knack for fleshing out your villians. Travers is shaping up to be one of the evilist characters you've written for. I shudder to think what Travers wants Spike to do. I liked the twist about Spike's family. And I think you captured Spike's thoughts and emotions throughout the chapter brilliantly. Great update.

Author's Response: Thanks. This means that for the time being Spike will have to stay put, no matter how much he may want out. I always thought an aloof villian was better than one who tell you what he wants. I was never sure what the Council wanted. I mean they had a "Wet work" division, that's never of the good.

I mean "Great-grand niece or nephew" of course!

They defanged him. That's inhumane. And they've threatened his family, hell he has descendents, that's a bit of a twist on Spike lore, and sure adds a marvelous element to this story. I can't wait for more.
