Um, one thing...Joyce really likes Spike...and she can usually read him like a book. They talk and visit when Buffy isn't around. So, Joyce is going to be concerned about Spike's feelings.
Good that everyone else is supportive, besides Xander.

Anya is right; the Council would never share this kind of information with Slayers. *sigh* Yeah, Xander was rude when he did hear that Buffy will keep her baby. And at last she, Buffy, did tell Joyce about the pregnancy. And surprise! She knew :) Yet she doesn't seem to happy that Spike is the father. I thought Joyce liked him more than Angel. Looking forward to the next chapters (when Spike comes back at one point, how he'll react).

okay, i don't like this. sorry, but this chapter pissed the hell out of me. i expected more from joyce, but she acted just as bad as everyone else. i thought she liked spike and would actually say something nice about him, but no such luck. he doesn't even have anyone on his side right now. i'm really hating buffy's treatment of him in this chapter, even though he wasn't in it. i don't want them to cast that spell. i want spike to find out about the baby already. it's not right to keep it as a secret. and what the hell is xander's problem? he's such a damn hiporcrite and i'm sick of it. i can't get into a story that makes me this angry, so i may only give one more chapter a chance. i hope it gets better soon.
Author's Response: OMG, I am sorry this chappie pissed you off. I don't want to give to much away, cause then you won't read. But I guess I have to 'cause I would really love if you stayed with me. Believe me this will be Spuffy, they just have to work up to it.
And Joyce is okay with it, she just needs time for the news to sink in. Yes she likes Spike, but she also wants her daughter to have a normal life as well. But its very safe to say that Joyce is a porterof Spike. Also, don't forget Dawn, she'll be in the next chapter. And yes, she does support Spike.
Heads up if you hate Xander now, just wait, it gets better.

I actually really enjoyed this chapter - I loved how you have written Anya and given her a more important character standing then other stories have. If you get what I'm trying to say but I completly understand if you don't because I can be evry confusing sometimes...okay I'm going to stop talking well writing now. Good decision to tell Joyce.. even if she hasn't done it yet. Oh, patrolling with Spike? I wandered if Spike would notice something; he did: the smell has changed. And Anya has a point, she's right! But no one acknowledged that she knows a lot. ~ Buffy tells her friends before she tells her mom? Well now she has the opportunity to practice it ;-) Wow... she told everything! And see?
