hey, are you by any chance British? Reading this fic reminded me of a tv show, Hustle; it's about a group of cons (duh). Spike reminded me so much of the character Danny. They're both cockney and blonde, and they're newbies... trying to fit in, always competing with Micky (Angel) and flirting with the girl con, lol. Nyways... good opening chappie... look forward to seeing where this goes.
