okay, I'm reading this story in the order I want to so there. I'm loving this story so I'm reading, re=reading and Savoring this story. You got a nice touch, a light touch on the action mei-mei. real smooth, enough so I know exactly who's doing what to whom how and not getting into place settings if you know what I mean. You got a really great grasp on the mindsets of both Buffy and Spike, the gentle confused human parts==Buffy is so loveable sometimes, so precious (Spike really had it right when he named her Kitten) but for the most part she has driven me crazy through the show. You make it work the angst, without the heavy hand of I'm keeping them apart becos I can--so you tell the story, you don't be part of it. It's rather like we're both watching and enjoying it together. Very nice interpretation. Love it that he's a chef, supporting his desire with his attributes! Would give a pile of coin for this service to be extended to my part of the world lol big time! Do they take really old ladies....thank you for this very clever story and I'm glad we're getting to the playing parts soooooon. Appreciate your hard work, push against the reluctant muse, give her chocolate, whatever, more writing please.

Oh my God, I should have known Buffy would get his words all twisted. Figures. That poor girl needs help... I think it's the bleach that seeped into her brain. Love her, but darn! Loved the scene with Riley. And oh my God, the guy Willow wanted Buffy to meet was William?? I have to say, I didn't see that one coming lol. Fun read.

Wow... what a great chapter. Bye-bye Riley, you will not be missed. Holy crap this was really a loaded chapter. So much emotion going on. I was really happy that Spike got to see Buffy breaking up with Riley rather than continue his original assumption that she was on a date. I think you already have enough angst working for you in this chapter without that added piece of misery. I can't wait to see how hurtful words, even unfinished, are mended. I'm also curious to see what it will take for Buffy to overcome her own insecurties.

Author's Response: LOL, yeah, he had to go. There was a lot of emotions running high that night, causing all sorts of problems. The next few chapters will be better, but the angst isn't over yet, sorry. It's to soon for them to get together just yet. Hope you like the next chapter hon, and thanks for the wonderful review.

Honestly I didn't notice the gap in postings.... but that's only because I just finished moving, lol! I came back and most of my stories have so many chapters for me to catch up with that I was actually a bit relieved that this only have one chapter. That's not to say that I wouldn't have loved more... bah, I think you know what I mean.... I hope so anyway.

Really good chapter. Buffy's reaction was a total surprise, but with her self-esteem issues, it's completely understandable, if not extremely frustrating (for Spike anyway, lol).

Anyway, looking forward to more. :)

PS: Sorry you were sick. When I was moving (6 day drive) I had to stop in an ER because I was so sick. Turns out I had ear infections in both ears along with a sinus infection... definitley not a fun trip.

still loving it. the plot gets deeper and deeper :D but i must say, when is william/spike gonna come clean about himself? he keeps lying to buffy about grisantis for instance and his selfconfidence is about zero. wise up, man! and also, curious, will there be a blind-date? oooh, that would be soooo hilarious! love your work, keep it up! and as always i anxiously await the next chapter.

Author's Response: Glad your still enjoying. Those are tough questions to answer w/out giving too much away, but I'll try. First, William/Spike isn't lying to Buffy about Grisanti's. He did have his dinner with him, so that was a half truth. As an escort, he wouldn't discuss his private life with her, at least not yet sweety - that will take some time. His self confidence will get the boost he needs soon, that I promise. As for a blind date - maybe, I haven't really decided either way yet, though I am leaning towards it. The next 2-3 chapters will be angst free and fun, BUT, the story is far from over too. Not that much time has passed since they first met, and I have more ups and downs planned for them. It wouldn't be spuffy without a struggle for love - at least not in my mind. Thanks for the review hon, I do hope you enjoy the next chapter - it's more light-hearted.

That is so wrong. Spike clearly should have removed Rile's hand from the arm. ;-) Great chapter- full of angst, drama, and action. Truly and enjoyment. :-)
