Yep, still adoring this to pieces :) I'm always a sucker for this kind of light banter and sweetness that Buffy and William show here *awww...* I must say that Buffy's inner slut is really smart, Buffy needs to start taking her seriously *snicker*. The Halloween party... I laughed out loud when I imagined Buffy and William in the same space and NOT communicating in any way! This chapter was hot and sweet and intimate. They're looking more adult, both of them, one giving time, the other willing to wait some. And this guy is so perfect (except for the panty snatching part !). Oh, I'm so looking towards the party. Come on, like they'll be ignoring each other for a whole looooong envening ?! And I bet Buffy's gonna put Lorne in the frying pan (is this the right way of saying it ? in french, we say "cuisiner" = cook !) to try and get some answers... and i really liked buffy, not regretting, not in denial, not blaming him. but determined to make him understand that he needs to open up to have... more.
spike made some progress as well... he is still in stupidly-not-telling mode, but at least he is trying not to push and to give her some space.

This was a lovely, light chapter. I was expecting Buffy to be filled with remorse on the morning after, but her attitude was delightfully angst free. Her “You cook, your house is cleaner than mine, you play piano better than...” she was using both hands to tick off the list with her fingers. “Liberace. You’re smart, sexy, you’re, well... REALLY good in bed and so sweet and caring sometimes that... and you’re... you’re...” She threw him an accusing look. “Either you’re a true geek or you were engineered in a lab by some German geneticist to be the perfect man...” made me laugh out loud, especially about his house being cleaner than hers! Her inner voice argument was also funny.
