William is a perfect romantic. Loved it. Glad they could make up.

not to be a big freakin' dumbass but who the heck is Lucian? i've heard that name before....

Author's Response: oh, Lucian, is the steamy goodness of a vampire, Spike's second in command in a story that a good friend of miune had to take down here from TSR to protect her job. He is Martin Rudolph - the actor, who played VLad Dracula on Buffy vs Dracula AND the made for TV movie Dark Prince - the true story of Dracula. WHich if you haven't seen, you really, really, should. THe dud e is so freaking HOT. And in my firends's story, he falls for Willow.

The meeting quickly devolved from scorchingly romantic to nervous, accidental innuendo, It was a delight to read and paved the way for a much more relaxed reunion. The image of Will laughing as he walked away made me grin. Buffy's nervous build up to the date was also lovely, as was the romantic date itself. Thank goodness these two are finally getting it right. The angsty tension was putting me on edge!

I laughed out loud at this line: “This coming from the one person that can’t even keep the color of her underwear secret from total strangers?” Anya just agreeing with the comment made it even funnier.

Author's Response: Glad you liked it hon. I just couldn't see it staying too serious for too long and had to break up the nervousness with some humor. LOL - Anya is a hoot to write - so blunt. Thanks for the lovely review honey, smooches to you.

Awww, how sweet *sigh*. It could have been a bit too sugary, but the events of the earlier chapters were so harsh, that the sweetnes in this was well justified *grin*. Just so you know: I'm still reading and loving your writing, even if I don't review every chapter! My life is a bit chaotic at the moment (I actually did those life-changes that I told you about!), but I will never forget my dose of awesome Spuffy-writing that you talented people serve us :) . I wonder if they will bother with plates, or just lick the Chocolate decadence off each other back at his place....and do you really think they will get to the cake at all? Eventhough it's HIS birthday, perhaps he'll let Buffy "blow out the candles?"

I'm so happy they are back together and can't wait until we get the rest of Spuffy (aren't you proud of me, I'm doing much better with this review - not having near the problems with concentration that I did last time).

I loved the song, very fitting (and I'm not a big - song in the tale kind of person) Don't get me wrong, I love music, I've performed on stage before, even once on the Queen Mary in Long Beach CA singing with my Brother and Father, but fame was never ours and now I just sing for my own pleasure, much to the chagrin of my 2 sons (but my sweet little grandson loves it!). See, here I go, offtrack again! Damn!

I loved your response to my last review, you had me ROFLMA (and with the size of my A, It takes one hearty laugh to get it to fall off, believe me! The "came in my knickers" line was hilarious! I know what you mean know, If I ever get to see that man in the flesh, I hope I'm with friends who will scoop up the goo that will be me and put me in a jar to ship back home! Your "too married" line had me spewing out a bodaciouly large chuckle as well and has my mind realing with a tale I wish to share with you.

I've been married for 26 years to the same wonderfully non-jealous man. I wouldn't trade him for the world (that doesn't mean he doesn't annoy the hell outta me well over 50% of the time, just means I see no reason to break in a new one when I've almost got this one trained... oh sorry, a tale to relay, that's right!). About 3 years ago, when I first became "obsessed" with JM (yes, I know, what took me so long....well that's another tale) so, about 3 years ago I found this lifesize JM poster on line in PDF format that you printed out 36 8 1/2 x 11 inch pages, then had to trim them and paste them together like a puzzle. Well, I did this, at like 2AM (my husband works nights and is usually gone between 3PM to 4 or 5AM, often he's coming to be just as I'm getting up to get ready for work), so, I've got these 36 pages all trimmed and ready to go on my bed cause I don't have a table big enough for the task. I paste them together, then spend an hour cutting off all the white so when I'm done, it's just JM as the lucious Spike, no background or white edges and the thing is like almost 6 ft tall. I think about where to put such a large likeness of such a sexy hunka hunka. My first choice was the closet door, but although my hubby is very understanding of my obsession, that would be on his "side of room" and I don't think he'd find waking up to Spike's lifesize image too appealing (see, I'm sensitive to his feelings), so I put it up on the wall on my side of the bed. So all done, Spikey nicely posted less than 5 feet from my face so I can go to sleep staring at his yumminess (just a mo' gotta let the dog out - it's 3:36AM - why she suddenly needs out is beyond me!), oK, I'm back. So Spikey on wall. I go to bed, falling asleep to Spikey goodness and JM voice's in my head narrating a Dresden book, all surrounded with things that go Spike in the night. My husband comes home at about 5AM, I hear him come into the room, but then I hear nothing and I'm just in that sleep place where you hear things, but you don't want to respond because that would wake you up too much, so I'm lying there, eyes still closed, but knowing something is off, I don't hear hubby putting his wallet and keys down, changing his clothes, none of the usual stuff he does when he gets home so now my brain is actually starting to function and I think something's wrong, perhaps a burglar or one of my kids sleepwalking or sick so I roll over (away from Spike's lifesize image) and open my eyes. My husband is just standing there in the light from his bedside table gazing at the wall beyond me. He stays like that for a full minute after I've rolled over to look to at him and then, while still staring at the big Spike on the wall, he says to me (with a totally straight face) "Are we a teenager again!?", I reply the afirmative, roll over and go back to sleep. And Spike has graced my bedroom wall ever since! I've even added a few more (normal sized) images and posters. My hubby is such a sweetie about my JM/Spike Obsession. He did roll his eyes when I purchased the beer cans from Fox that JM/Spike drank out of during a episode of Angel, but he's resigned himself to my JM/Spike Shrine in the Living room. Well, that's my tale. Personally I think you might of had to be there to appreciate it to its fullest, but I though of it when you said you washed the shirt cause you think of yourself as so married (too married). I would of sealed the shirt in a space bag or something and hoped it smelled like JM and not my pits! But then, I'm strange. I actually made myself a refer magnet that has a collage of JM images and then states " Totally Obsessed, because Stalking JM is too Expensive" and I fully believe and support that statement! The man is soooo lucky I don't win the lottery!

Okay, so I've rambled on way too long, I still have to go read Jolynn's latest chappie (I promised her) not that that's a big hardship or anything. Can't wait to read your Wucian donation! I believe there is another obsession in the making and I won't be alone in it will I dear lady!???!!

If we ever got together at JM event, I'm not sure the man would survive unscathed. Perhaps he'd "Party all night with us?!" Wouldn't that be a hoot, Beasleysmom (I love her tales too by the way), Jolynn, You and Me? Nope, James wouldn't stand a chance, he'd party or be a prisoner, his choice (see, I give choices, I care, I'm not greedy, well, too much) If I have to share, I couldn't think of a better group of ladies to share with!

Many hugs and thanks for all you given me and all us little fanfic junkies out here in cyberspace. Look forward to the next one, now off to BtSoE! XOXOXO (give muse his share!)

Author's Response: LMAO – maybe Buffy will blow out ‘HIS’ candles.... indeed. It’s a big candle though – it may take more than one, ahem, puff, lol. Yeah – I sort of shamed myself by going there with another song but it was fitting and William (that side to his personality) is a romantic through and through – so I hope readers forgive me. ROFL at your comment about the size of your ass – you are too funny. But wow – you got to sing at the QM? Very cool. I play classical piano but I’m one of those super nervous don’t like to play in front of people types. I think my mother made me do it once for church and I was shaking so bad. Of course I was like 11 years old. Oh God – while in Boot Camp, a Drill made me do it too (we were in an auditorium for a class), but by that time my repertoire of memorized pieces was larger and I think he thought I really didn’t know how to play. Giggles, after playing a few pieces to include the Phantom of the Opera (Bach’s Toccata portion of Toccata and Fugue) I was told to sit down while he had a sour puss expression and the other recruits clapped loudly. Side story here... I thought I was cursed or else coincidence is just too weird. The man who swore me into the military on the day I left (hand held up, took the oath stuff) – he was a tiny white guy named Michael Jordon. I got to Boot and my Drill from Hell (yes, he really was, too) was also a tiny white Guy named Holifield. Then at my first duty station in Korea, my company commander, yet ANOTHER small white guy - whose name was none other than Richard Prior. I shit you not – course you’re my favorite turd so I definitely wouldn’t shit you, lol. But yeah, weird, huh? Yup – I’m too married and more than likely too old for James. Been off the sippy cup for years now, *snorts with laughter*.... sad seeing that JM is like what – 8-9 years older than me? *Shakes head*, when will he learn that there is no substitute for the maturity, wisdom AND experience that age brings? I dated a guy once who was barely 18 while I was 26 (yes, shame on me) – it was nice in some, ahem, departments, but man... the freakin’ drama, drama, drama. Okay, back on track here before I say something that will get me in trouble. LMFAO again when reading your story... so of course – here’s mine concerning life-size images of Spike. My husband didn’t care one way or another (a very non jealous person like your hubby) when I ordered the cardboard stand-up of Spike (have DB too now and just waiting until there’s one for Henry from Blood Ties... *melts*, there’s a threesome for ya, *winks* - I can see the slash writers having a field day and oh... why not make it a foursome to include Lucian - *swoons*. Of course speaking hetero here, Buffy would need her slayer strength to withstand a tag team of that, ahem, size and strength). Sorry getting WAY off track here thinking of all that salty goodness. Okay, so the first time I set Spike up in my living room, we had a really docile, older beagle that almost never barked, bayed or howled for any reason. I was on the phone w/ my hubby after standing Spike up and he’s like ‘what’s wrong with the dog, why is he growling? My pansy of a dog walked in, took one look at that standup and was growling and barking like a mad rabid animal, teeth bared, dancing back and forth in front of it, waiting for it to move. The kids and I couldn’t stop laughing and I told my hubby the dog apparently doesn’t like vampires. When I got back to my mother-in-law’s from the con, I put my piccie with JM on my laptop’s desktop background. She said to me, you might want to take that down before Evans sees it. I was like, mom, I emailed him the damn pic. She’s too funny. Alas, I have no shrine, especially not in this new house – I think Evans (my hubby) would make me tear it down after the amount of money he spent on this place. That’s okay I have TONS of naughty manips on my laptop accessible at a moments notice for inspiration. OMG...I really just said that – lol. Sssshhhhh, don’t tell. ‘Totally Obsessed, because Stalking JM is too Expensive’ – ROFL. My 8 year old is very protective of his father’s interests and when I explained to him I was going to meet Spike and that he was a real person, had a real name, blah blah blah – he gave me a serious look and said ‘I’m going to lock the door so you can’t leave’. Cute little shit, isn’t he? Wucian anyone? Oh yes, I think I’m in love and I’ll fight anyone out there for the dark haired, luscious Lucian, hee hee. Jolynn has done such a fab job creating his character and looking like that??? (Martin Rudolph) – I’m going to have forget wearing knickers altogether while writing Wucian. *Shudders in all the private places*. You are most certainly not alone my friend. GOD in heaven. If, no, I’d like to think ‘when’ we meet and subsequently kidnap JM – with Beasleysmom help of course, I don’t think the old chap will be able to keep up - giggles. And as for sharing... I’m not greedy either – I’ll take sloppy seconds – LMFAO. Okay lady – I’ve rambled on too much. I still need to read/review Jolynn’s latest chappy too. In the words of travelocity’s ‘roaming gnome’, I’m on my waaaaaaay.......

I got distracted before I could start to read on SR but I almost forgot you updated too. Will check that out first before I go through LJ.
LOL and now I'm so 'drawn into' the story that I forgot to write. Loved the scene at the begin of the chapter; nervous William (Spike) is really cute :) All the innuendos that were totally accidental. That happens when the mouth outruns the brains ;-)
And the ones told with deliberately *ggg*
I wonder if Anya's something special has something to do with Lorne / why he sold his business *just guessing here*
*grins* Buffy is really looking forward to Spike and eating at Grisanti's, not eating all day.
OH! Buffy is the only guest at Grisanti's. Spike makes indeed sure that they aren't disturbed. :)
uncaring of the fact due to a recent development he had yet to tell her about Sounds if (should I'm guessing right) Spike is involved in that little secret too. Anyway (whatever), I'm curious what it is.
And now it sounds that it was good that Buffy didn't eaten before she went to her date; though it's a shame she missed the cake :)
Awe, and it is Spike's birthday? Makes the date even more precious.
Looking forward to the next part; to this story or the Wucian one :)

Author's Response: Hi hon, *waves*. Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Romance all the way around as William wants his girl all to himself. Ahem, as for Anya - well, I'd say your guess is pretty dead on, but you didn't read my writing that, lol. As for William's recent development... that won't be revealed until the very end. But it's a nice surprise and has little to do with Lorne at all. Gotta have at least one surprise up my sleeve, right? Giggles. Thanks for the review hon - smoochies to you.

Gotta say I really enjoyed all the romance in this chapter. The scene at Spike's restuarant was wonderful, the Spuffy interaction was so sweet. And I absolutely loved the foot-in-mouth dialogue during Spike and Buffy's reunion... lol! Can't wait for Buffy to give Spike his birthday present. ;-) Fantastic update!
~ I'm so exciting about the upcoming Wucian's scene. To get myself even more psyched I went back and looked at the pic of Lucian that appeared in Jolynn's reviews *smacks forehead* I hadn't even noticed that it was the same guy that played Dracula on Buffy, until you mentioned Rudolph Martin's name in an earlier review... talk about a small world! :-)

Author's Response: YAY - I'm glad you enjoyed the romance - I guess I just don't consider it my 'area' so I always worry over it. I had to do the whole humor thing in the beginning - it seemed an easy way for them to get through the nervousness... by screwing up what they were saying. *Sighs*, oh yes, Martin Rudolph as Dracula - in BOTH btvs and the Dark Prince movie.... *completely melts*. Such a hypnotising stare he has. And btw, apparentely, when he did played Drac in btvs, it was around the same exact time as he made that movie I mentioned earlier. I bet SMG was in her glory too, seeing he used to be her love interest in that soap opera they were in together. He's one hunka-hunka burning vamp right there. Scald me, baby, lol. Thanks for the awesome review hon, big hugs and kisses.

"Was it going to take the rest of their lives to get things right?" .... Isn´t this what life makes worth it? I think it is a good thing.
And I had to laugh a lot. I loved the babbling. It was soooo cute to see both of them babbling. And I think it was funny to see how both talking with their foot in their mouth.
And now they are going to his place... eating a very delicate cake. I have to say I want such a yummy cake too. And when I can´t have one, give me the next chapter to take part on their having a cake. *ggg*
Love you and hug you tight. Don´t feel bad for disappearing yesterday. We´ll hear from each other.

Author's Response: Indeed it does sweety, indeed it does make it all worth it. Babbling galore. A nervous SPike makes for an amusing one. GIggles, I couldn't resist taking the humorous route to help them break the ice. *Winks*, cake won't be the only thing getting eaten... ooops, I did it again. I think I wrote that in another review. My muse, ahem, well he's having many 'slips of the tongue' lately. He's uber excited about writing the spuffy luvin coming up. Oh my - puns all around, guess I better stop while I'm ahead. Enjoyed.. and they are together. Didn't think he would want a crowd around to interfere.

Waiting for the Lucian/Willow chapter. Our second favorite couple. And I know you won't disappoint.

I just changed from Dial-up to DSL.. much better.
How's the new home?

Author's Response: Oh no - no crowd around them. He wants 'his girl' all to himself with nothing to distract them. Giggles... just wait until he really gets her alone. Ah yes, Wucian... I think they've truly grown to be many readers 2nd fave couple. Jolynn asked me awhile back if I thought Lucian would be as popular as he is if she hadn't posted that picture of him in an early chapter. My response - yes. Because the way she's written him has added so much depth to his character. I'm nervous about writing this scene for her, but the muse is ecstatic nonetheless to have the opportunity. Isn't DSL soooooooooo much better? I swear I have zero patience when it comes to dial up. How people still manage to get by on it I'll never know. My hats off to you for dealing with it and thanks so much for the great review sweety. Smooches.
