I don't know how I missed these three entertaining, hot chapters. The dreams segueing into reality is a great plot device, and I really enjoyed the scene you painted with Spike doggedly trying to get Buffy off of him in chapter 6. This last chapter, with Buffy choosing to accept this attraction to Spike, was wonderful. Her epiphany was beautifully realized, and I loved the language of the Gem of Amara fight: "Almost as if the experience was new, Buffy saw that day in the sun, when quips and slander had geared her up, to whip immortality off of his finger and send him sizzling into the sewers. It had been a satisfying moment - and not because she had rendered Spike useless. She'd fought against his almost overwhelming power when humilated and in pain, and she'd won. But, not only that, she'd thrived when she and the bleached pain met up and traded blows. It made her hungry, It made her hot. It made her his." That bit really stood out in another tight chapter.

Seems as if Buffy does it the hard way to cut of the dreams: She simply doesn't sleep. I wonder when the dreams will catch up with her when she is awake and starts daydreaming *grins* Cute.. drawing little ♥ around purple Spike and telling herself she does it on purpose *gg*
And all the not sleeping makes thinking and therefore research hard till impossible.
But when that (binding Buffy to Spike in order to get her killed) was Sineya's plan, she is wrong :) Awe, and then Buffy thought Spike would reject her. It was more the contrary and he was only worried... loved it. Buffy's thoughts at the end too.

Nice chappie. Good to see them doing it voluntarily :)

I think they really need to ask Anya about the scary rabbits...
