yeah, safe from everyone except him. He's really trying to be nice, but I still don't think he gets just how forceful he was last night. I'm glad Buffy is still spunky though. I know it was forced, but she did like some of it - she's judging alot still on the actions of her father and others (even though Spike was really really wrong in taking Buffy last night - if he would of had a little patience, she would of come to him willingly eventually). Oh well, what's done is done, now he has to build some trust cause right now, she's got nothing to give him and he doesn't deserve it either. Great tale - heartbreaking at this time because both have so many issues (some I'm not even sure they are aware of yet). More please.

Author's Response: Buffy is stuck in the past with her father and formers... she needs to see past the illusion and see Spike; however he's tainted her view now... I'm sure Strong!Buffy will come out and she will perservier.

boy, buffy has been through hell these last 2 chapters. her unwavering goals and maintaining who she is shows what a strong character she is, even through all the drama. i can't wait to read more.
