I always forget you're from New England and then a reference to the Red Sox pops into a chapter. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, it always makes a smile creep onto my face (although it seems we are at the "there's always next year" stage in the season as we couldn't have had a worse August with injuries and just plain bad luck). Football season will be interesting without Vinatieri, but I'm sure Brady's fine ass will still be able to command the field.

Oh yeah, and I really like the story so far. :)

Author's Response: I went to a preseason pats game last weekend and just had to put a reference to them in there somewhere :) It was awesome! Sweet seats too. I think Gastowski (Sp?) is going to be good...still not my Adam though :(

Looks like Anya's rejection and Buffy's forgiveness are both saving Spike from himself. Excellent chapter-- and a Joss-like surprise at the end! The way he could launch a relationship forward very quickly at an unexpected moment-- great stuff! Now I really can't wait for the next chapter (squeels in delight)!

Finally! The kiss I've been waiting for ages. Very... spontaneous. The oh-god-what-am-I-doing spontaneous. Love the chapter! I even liked the arguments between Spike and Buffy. Keep it up!

I am happy that my prediction was wrong and that Spike stayed away from Anya, of course, it wasn't his choice. (But, that's kind of our Spike anyway.) And this kiss. Can't wait.

I had a feeling Anya would put a kibosh on everything.

Good for her and I'm finally having some respect for her. (I certainly did not respect her in the show, but that was the writers' faults).

Anyway, Buffy being a sports fan??? Great! And I hope Spike stays as jealous as hell! I've had it with these guys thinking they can jerk womens' feelings around like a puppet string.

Maybe Buffy could slap Spike again??? Just for sport???

You have this annoying habit of always ending the chapter at the good part...lol! I wanna see what she does about that. And yay, the slap in the face. He so had that coming. I'm glad Anya didn't let him in. There may be hope for her yet, except she really shouldn't be calling anyone a bimbo. I even thought Spike was a bit too harsh with Riley. Jeez, just let everyone know that you're jealous already. You and your Patriots, glad to see you managed to fit that in there. Okay, done now. Great chapter=)

I'm really enjoying your characterization of Buffy. I like the way Buffy expressed herself in this chapter. Loved the Spuffy kissage. Fantastic update!

Oh I must say I'm glad that Anya didn't take Spike back (as long as he is staying with Buffy). He shoved her away one time too much. Or it was because he has the new girl around... ~ And indeed Riley took the opportunity and was the one watching Buffy. And again Buffy did surprise Spike (sports). And Buffy is indeed different from the woman he known before (and not because she is deaf). Loved the magnetism. :) And thanks again for the quick update!

Go Anya! I'm so proud of her, she deserves better than what Spike was asking of her. :)
