I took Buffy's side in everything up to this chapter. I mean you had Spike acting like a six year old which was pretty unflattering.

But you just don't get mixed up in family matters that complicated unless your taking your lovers side, at least in public. She's a screwed up hypocrite. No games my ass. Going alone with Riley to the room, the date, and touching his face? Those are all games right there. Bitch deserves to get smacked around some more.

I wonder if Rayne is involved too. Or if Spike thinks it. Telling that Riley has dirty hands would have maybe been more convincing.
Oh Spike's mother and Buffy was talking to her. He isn't getting along with her good. He's still angry at her for what she did. And has certain issues to work out. ~ Love your dialog How have I messed up today? ~ Did you want that alphabetically or numerically? *grins* ~ So making Buffy jealous was a payback. And then he was gonna get the girl. That was hot and emotional too (I hope I can translate what I mean). And I hope Buffy noticed what Spike wanted to say and yet couldn't when she is so good 'reading' people.

Wow! Amazing chapter! It was so incredibly well written. The Spuffy lovin' was at it's best, so full of emotion and passion. I can't to find out what happens now that Buffy has declared her love.

I think that the last few chapters I haven't reviewed--sorry about htat..stuff's been crazy here and I've read them in parts when I had time...so, if I haven't reviewed this or Bent, I'm sorry--I'm loving the both of them very much (and once I don't have to organize the whole house because we have family coming to visit, I'll try to get things up on your site).

Anyway, (and this sort of relate to Bent, too-sorry) I really love the way you write Spike; he can be really screwed up, but he's consistently screwed up--which I guess is my way of saying you develop a character for him and you stay true to that....and I think that's a large part of why your stories are all so great, your characters aren't jumping all over the place doing stuff that doesn't make sense for them

Also interested to see what's going to happen with Riley...not because Ilike him or anything (the character in general not anything with yoru fic) but just because you made me all curious now... I'll go shut up now and try to keep up on my reviews :) Great chapter and great fic :-)

At times I think I understand why he can't voice his feelings to her or anyone else for that matter, but at other times, I have absolutely no idea. I just hope that in the mean time Buffy understands so that she knows he isnt' just like Parker and is only using her.

Author's Response: Spike is like Buffy on the show "If I say I love you, something bad will happen". With his experience with Dru, I think he's afraid to put himself out there. He talks big, but he's just goo inside :)

I hope she understands.
